I kit original suspension with new springs. (on the car when i bought it)
Can i get a link to where i can buy all this?(Good stuff at a fair price). I would rather not buy new coilovers for now. Is there a guide somewhere? |

there are many places.
I don't know if there are just camber plates available without buying coilovers. ($700~$2,000) but the list of available coilovers is too long Rucas are also available anywhere. (~$200) I don't know what kind of Guide you need. You should probably have the car properly aligned at an alignment shop unless you have all the tools necessary. (which you more than likely don't)

Camber plates don't do much, if you want wild negative camber in the front, you'll need adjustable front lower control arms, or I've heard of people using S14 FLCA's on S13's but you have to trim the bushings I think.

How does one slot struts? I've always heard about it but never seen it, do you just drill extra holes in the strut towers?
By the way do you have personal experience with camber bolts, or is there anyone in here who does? I've been thinking about getting a pair for the front, but I'm afraid that they might turn around or just adjust themselves to an optimal position so there's as little pressure on them as possible, is the force of how hard I tighten them the only thing that keeps them at the camber setting I want? Sorry for the thread jack. |

you slot the hole for the top bolt. that allows the spindle to be tilted, altering camber angle. some coilovers (like silkroads) come with this 'feature.' the rma8s have an square washer with an eccentricly drilled hole, locking in the slotted setting and allowing four camber settings. |

Ah that definitely makes sense, thanks for clearing that up for me, now I know this definitely isn't the route for me haha, I'd rather not drill or slot any parts of my car unless it's absolutely necessary.

in my experience, a lot of aftermarket RUCAs dont add enough positive camber when something is lowered mad crazy, much less the stock camber adjustment bolts. haha |

using a longer control arm will add camber but it will also push the tire closer to the fender. that's the opposite of what the original poster and most people that run lots of camber are trying to do.

The time you lose is hardly noticeable. And if you are that cheap, you can rotate them and they'll last just as long.

On Hondas they use washers and longer bolts to push the trailing arm further away from the chassis, adding camber. Only possible on a solid axle, so on an Schassis he only way to add camber is to dial it in with adjustable arms. If you don't have those you can slot the upper arms where they bolt to the upright as well as the subframe mounting points, but that's a janky way of doing it.

yes i would definitively buy the whole package, if you are making changes to the camber there will be changes in toe too, and the stock toe arms are non adjustable so your wheel will have some bad toe and you cant get rid of it. if your only planing on running a little camber the stock ruca's will do the job, before i went aftermarket i got my stock arms till -2.6 degrees and the toe will not be affected as much as if you would run stock toe arm and aftermarket camber arm. but if your planning to run more camber then that i would invest in some toe arms too, i hope that makes sense!
