And that is the beauty of definitions combined with an individual's point of view. Some people call a rim a wheel. While others may call a rim a "Mag."

Wheels: WedsSports TC-005's 18x8.5 +32 18x10 +43
Tires: 245/35 and 275/30 Its an 18 but you could run 17's and use a taller tire, and i dont think his geometry is all janked, its not riding that low. |

A "mag" by definition is a Magnesium alloy rim. But talk to any older guy at the track and he will tell you these are the two styles of are "MAG's". or the classic "slotted mag". I dont know alot of people calling there rims, "MAG's" |

WRONG! Like castro said, the term "mag" is referring to a wheel made from a magnesium alloy. On top of that I have never heard the term "mag" used without the word "wheel" directly after it, "mag wheel".

^they are actually forged magnesium. not white. and its wheels that ALOT of racecars from the 70's and into the 80's ran. In almost all divisions of racing.
You must be pretty young or don't follow much about motorsports history no worries, they are pretty ugly, but they are also 20 to 30 years old. Imagine what people will think of your rims in 30 years?? Shit, we cant stand the MoMo arrows and VX1's of 1995!!! and that was 10 years ago!! lol. |

Think what you wish, I never intended argue with anyone. I did however simply intend to state what I was thinking when the word "Wheel" was mentioned. Unfortunately, due to point of views several people it may seem the contrary is true. As for people who call rims/wheels a mag(s) have a conversation with individuals in South Africa. Anyway, I never intended on posting in this thread beyond my initial post. If there were any arguments to be won regarding "Wheels" I could careless about the semantics. On a final note, I am not angry nor should any of my posts on this site be misconstrued in that manner.

No worries.
I just try to correct anything that I know is wrong on this entire site. Otherwise it gets pulled up one day by some kid. Then he gets the wrong info, but goes around quoteing it. Pretty soon theres a shit ton of bad info out there. Of course, this thread started off weak and could have been solved with a trip to the search button. Rims, Tires, and Offsets are some of the most covered subjects on here!! lol |

i run 9.5" wide 17s, offset is 38. i run 255/40R17 tires.
they rub on the lip when the suspension is compressed, so i need at least a roll. camber is -1.5° so if you really want to run 10s you will have to pull the fenders. personally i wouldn't go with any higher offset than 30. my rims have about an inch before they would hit the upright near the toe rod. (with 18" rims this shouldn't be an issue). besides tucking 17s is pointless as many people before me already stated. |

depends on the offset of the rim.
You sound as though this is your first time rim fitting your car. You might have better luck going with a FN, and them running a wide tire on the back. Much more easier for YOU. http://zilvia.net/f/chat/129865-whee...re-thread.html < LOOK HERE |

with 275s u'll need to go with the +25 -=- and it'll look whack
it should fit tho.... I would run the camber and fit the +12's myself - or get overs. But on stock metal you'll prolly go with the +25 ones with under a degree of camber

They look wack with a 215 or something on there, but get in the 245-255 range and they fit an S13 good. An S14 has more body width back there, so the +12s wouldn't require you to get as aggressive on the body as an S13.

not sure about 275's on a 10" wide -- 18x9.5 +28mm (Rays) 255/35/18 (Falken 512) here is tire specs link -2.0 deg camber (still room for -1deg) rolled fenders (all the way) tein flex car is not slammed form proper arm movement/geometry wheel size (confirmed) additional room of 30mm (confirmed) (leave 5mm clearance, things move around) no pull (confirmed) just rolled As you can see, there is plenty of room to fit the 10" wide wheels without any question. Just do your homework as far as parts mfg, specs & adjustments. Variables in your wheel/tire assembly & clearance to body & parts.
DONE.

if he has the knowledge or know how to have 350 + in a 240, then he should be able to manage to fit tires he wants.
