Since i've gotten my bucket, i've gotten it to run, but not run amazing.
In the past (like 1 month of actually being able to safely be driven) it would drive fine, but slowly developed a problem where it would not go above like 4k RPM. Then to 3.5k, then 2.5k until i switched out the fuel pump and filter.

That fixed that (or so I thought) and now it seems that any time i gas it (or even attempt to normally accelerate) it fuel cuts, then dies. As if the gas pedal does nothing but makes the exhaust pop a little more as it cruises down to the engine's stopping. It frequently takes a bit of cranking and gas to get the engine to restart.
The issue is quite dire, as i can't go 30 seconds without it happening. Did I buy a bad fuel pump?

Things 'done' to the car that may be related:
-New injectors
-new fuel soft lines (high pressure)
-'cleaned' gas tank when i got the car (was rusty in side with nasty fuel, cleaned it as best i could by pulling it and scrubbing the inside and using a few cleaners to soak in it prior to reinstallation)
-new spark plugs
-recent egr delete

Thanks, i'll check both of those things.

I checked both the timing and the MAF, both are good. I used a different MAF just to make sure things were in order, and no change. I even checked to see if the fuel line was clogged, to no avail.
I suppose next step is getting another fuel pump and praying it works?

Hmm weird. I had an issue where my positive battery wire (relocated into trunk; s14) was corroded over the years. I swapped in a new one for both connections and my car runs flawlessly.

Maybe double check the engine harness/charging harness to see if there are any open wires or corrosion.
