s13 Sr20det build measurements
Hey guys so I'm almost done! Block is being machined and once I pick it up it's going to be assembled. Now this is where I am stuck. I ordered standard ACL main and rod bearings. I wanna get the measurements and clearances right so I don't spin one. What are my cleanrsnces for the rods and mains? I'm going to get a micrometer and such today. Also I'm reshimming the head as I'm not taking any chances at all!!

Sr20det red top

(Beginner rebuild trying run 300whp safe)

the workshop manual is on 240edge.com

im surprised you went for 9:5:1 pistons. and not 8:5:1 or 9:1:1

best to get some red and green plastigauge too.

You already ordered the bearings...
You'll need a bore gauge and micrometers, (not cheap digital calipers)

The clearances are in the FSM

how come you are putting DE pistons in a DET engine?

I think they are higher compression...

Nothing wrong with raising the compression a bit if using the right fuel and tuned properly.
