will pay to show how to hook up electric fans wire
took off clutch fan and installed cx racing aftermarket fans and shroud.
now i see bunch of thread that in order to make this fans working ppl use switch or put it together with altenator or fuel pump that makes the fans worn out bc on all the times. i want the fans on automatically from my stock thermostat not the aftermarket one (put in the middle of rad). i did try to hook the 12v wire from electric fans to relay RAD FAN HI (white with red stripe wire) and RAD FAN LO (brown wire) that located under the fusebox ,but nothing happened and fans dont work. if anybody could tell me which wire should i hook that 12v (fans) to or at least what should i do to make my fans working automatically I WILL PAY A REASONABLE AMOUNT.the reason i do this bc i dont have time to bring my car to shop and i think its more fun to do it by myself bc i treat my car nicely. i hope nobody bitching about this thread bc i've been looking but didnt find anything beside switches, fans on all the time or aftermarket thermostat my car is 95 240sx(zenki) with sr20 blacktop from s13. thanks |

I wired my two fans up (each having a seperate relay) so when the car is turned to "ON" the fans start up.
Ive been running that way for over 3 years with out a problem.

wow. go to a autoparts store and buy a fan switch. forget about using the factoring relays. have a seperate sensor taped in the coolant system and run its own relay. it only cost about $20. thats how i got mine going.
p.s. expand your imagination and do MORE research. |

I just spliced mine to my ignition wires.. keys in accessory = fan on
Iirc, green is your accessory wire (splice the red on the fan to this wire) and ground the other side. (this is for an s13 though, havent had an s14 for years) |

Thats a great way to set your car on fire. OP you need two Relays around 30 Amp Relays, thick enough wire(cant remember the gauges right now) and wire them like this. This is how i have mine wired. Also i forgot to add the Fuse's in the diagram they should be placed in between the Battery and the Relays

The radio is only fused for 15A. The CX Racing fans operate at 7.5 nominally, but can spike up to 10-15 A. If the fans and the radio are both on at the same time, you'll blow fuses or start a fire. |

g6civcx please correct me if im wrong but there were 4 wires in every relay (hi or lo), 2 small and two big. i assumed that the two small one to kick up the relay and the big wires one from power 12v (brown) and the other one to continue power from 12v to device/fan(white with red stripe),so i did put the wire for the fans to the big one (white with red stripe) and nothing happened to fans beside get overheat

I have due fans on mine and wired the main one up to a thermal sensor relay with an override to the second relay going to the ECU and the second fan hooked up to the first relay. This way the car cools properly and the AC fan comes on when it should. Furthermore, if the thermal sensor fails the second relay will override it and prevent the car from overheating. Furthermore, the thermal sensor is hooked up to constant power which allows the fan to cool the car down for a few minutes after the car is shut off. It works great. I know on the KA there are two relays for low an high speed for the stock AC fan. If the SR has the same thing just use those relays and install a temp sensor with relay that can be overridden by external power.
Cliffnotes Fan one: Thermal sensor with relay that has override which is connected to second stock relay. Fan two: Hooked up to first stock relay.

people always make this one so much harder than it needs to be. take the plug off of your a/c fan, splice the e-fans into that plug, plug it back in. your a/c fan turns on at the same time as the clutch fan. i've been running like that for a year no problems.

You've been running a little hot then. The AC fan only comes on to boost the clutch fan or when the AC is turned on. Read the FSM, you'll notice that the temperature required to trip that relay is higher than the optimum running temperature specified in the FSM.

i believe the clutch fan comes on at 180 and the ac fan comes on at 190 my temp gauge stayed exactly the same. and if you have a performance radiator and a nismo tstat as most people do, whats the problem?

The problem is if you live in a hot area or plan on actually beating on the car at all you are going to consistently be running hot as the fans will not come on and actually cool the car down until it is above its operating temperature. Ya dig? Furthermore, if you actually trust the accuracy of the stock gauge you are making a mistake. It can basically tell you if you are running stupid hot or stupid cold ... other than that its not very accurate.
