That is pretty much the condition it arrived in and I started with. There are a few pictures of the Rear over fenders being installed and the blending started.

Next update of pictures is rust removal and clean up..

After all the rust was removed and metal replaced (sorry I thought I had more pictures of all of that) Pictures of the car and body work all coming together.

Sorry the pictures are a bit out of order. These are older from my photo bucket.

Here is time for one of the most fun updates. The engine!
It is a stock bore and stroke S13 SR20DET. The crank has has 2 pounds shaved off the crank and the pistons, rods, flywheel, clutch, pulley; basically the bottom end rotating assembly has been fully balanced to itself, no need for a balancer...

Top end is a little more exciting.
Its has been fully cleaned and port and polished out of eddie's in sayerville NJ. The squelch pads have been removed and the valves unshoruded for better breathing. The intake track and exhaust have been gasket matched. 3 angle valve job, new valve guides, which have been trimmed flush with the intake tracks. 260 in and out cams 12.5 high lift. Adjustable cam gears. Solid lifters, and yes they have been fully shimmed.

Here are some finished up pictures of the car. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

Oil filter has been relocated to under the water inlet plumbing for easy access and the oil cooler is mounted in front of the radiator and behind the intercooler.

Here are a few more pictures of the car being finished up and cleaned up.

So fast forward 2 years and some months and I traded in a few of the older parts for some newer bigger better parts

I have moved up from 260 to 270 cams
and sold off the 740cc nsimo injectors and went with 1000cc ID's
The GT2871r is gone and I am now running an HX35 7 blade, external wastegate
The power FC and datao logit are not gone, and I am moving onto Nismotronic.
Gonna love me some anti-lag and launch control
Oh I have also junked the stock coil packs which were giving me spark blow out at 13 psi and around 38lbs of air per minutes, which is not gonna cut it for 18 psi spring weight and 30 psi electronic controlled boost SO I went with and built my own LS2 truck coils setup.

Look at that!
I didn't forget to dial the cams

I forgot to mention that I repainted it. It is pretty amusing, I did this in one day, and evening. In the summer, before East Coast Bash. Had to have a friend come help me reassemble the damn thing before it got to black out.

This was all put together in one night to show you guys everything.
This project took me over 3 years, I am on year 4 now. I loved talking about my build and answering questions about why I did what I did with them. I will be doing an update soon on my new exhaust evac setup soon. So watch out for that!

Hey thanks.
They were actually super easy to wire up, they each have 4 wires, 2 grounds, 12+ and signal. One ground is an ecu ground, the ground is a chassis ground. Than the signal wires go to the harness part back to the ecu, and the 12+ are on a wired relay. I just went over board with delphi connectors and made it all nice nice.

I do not know yet as it has not been dyno'ed.
I also am in the process from switching to nismotronic from a power fc. I can tell you that before I switched to the 1000cc injectors, when I ran the 740 nismo side feeds, When I hit about 2 pounds at half 3/4 throttle in second gear I spun tires like nothing. I spun 275 35 18's with a 2-way diff like it was nothing.

Really? You like the new one? I liked the older one better cause it was a charge speed, and the scopes on the sides. I found a new bumper that I am getting soon as the motor is squared away that is sweet Not gonna tell anyone the name yet, but keep an eye out for it!

HAHA I didn't even realize that wa you until I read the car info under.
What's up bro

Hey thanks, yeah I do all my work myself, except for the all my welding, I don;t have money put away for one yet. I also have never welded, soooo.

Yeah, the only thing that sucks about working out of your own garage is making all the space for it. haha

Nice build man! Hopefully you will give us constant updates

Also can give me a brief summary about how you did the S15 front end conversion. Was it hard or easy to convert? I heard the wiring was the worst part of the conversion, is there any truth to that? Any other info you would like to share please do! As I am considering doing the conversion myself. Thanks!

There is nothing to wire but the head lights, and I just googled that and was done in 10 minutes. SO they lied to you haha.

The conversion is simple to be honest with you, if you have the correct parts. You need fenders, I used s13-s15 conversion over fenders +30mm so not only are they fiberglass there is plenty of room to relocate all the wiring up into the fenders to keep away from the wheels.

You also need both parts of the s15 bumper, the actual support thing, like what everyone with an s13 throws away "to save eight" haha. Because on that mounts the headlight bracket. Than the bumper slips right.

I have to take the bumper off in a day or 2 I'll take some pictures for ya and post them here.

Well I feel stupid, lol. Thanks for the info, also I know you said you used s13-s15 over fenders fiberglass but wouldn't oem fenders coming off an actual s15 be better? Or would that be expensive as shit? haha

The doors are not shaped the same and the lengths are different you would be cutting an s15 fender and and s13 fender and welding them together. Why waste the time when you can buy ones that line up and are made for the conversion?

Never thought of that.

One more question, how much did you spend on the conversion itself?

So I have been working through a few versions of an exhaust e-vac setup, similar to what the 2JZ and alot of V8's use. This was a little tricky because I combined a few different setups that I had found on here and in another thread I am part of.

The first set up was to eliminate the "T" on the exhaust side and weld a -10AN bung to it, which connected to the tube on the block to pull crank case pressure. Than a second bung was welded on the top back of the exhaust side and that line was put on a -10AN line that went to an exhaust e-vac insert 7 to 8 inches behind the turbo. Under the valve cover below the rear welded on bung, there were 1/8 inch holes drilled into the baffling to allow air and "hopefully" not oil.

The first half of this setup works great. The second half not so much. The steel braided line has rubber in it which obviously melted and oil got everywhere because only the steel braiding was left. I was mad at myself for not foreseeing this.

Setup #2
First half stays the same. Second half completely rethought. I used -10AN ss hard line from nitrous express which is almost impossible to flare. Also ss flare nuts and items are special order... So after completing this small piece there are 2 90* fittings and a 1-way check valve it only allow flow into the exhaust when the pressure in the exhaust cause suction on the ball valve to pull the crankcase pressure out through the head.

The reason I used -10AN ss hard line and not aluminum was simply cause it was attached to the exhaust. I didn't want anything warping, plus the hard line is short and allows for cooling before the aluminum parts.

Thanks man.
Yeah it took some time.
Soon as I get the nismotronic in it and get it tuned up.

I will jump on the body work to clean it up and get a real paint job, even get side skirts on it
