Look on the throttle body, there should be a screw, play with the screw til you get what you want.

Is it me, or don't most 240's idle low, like ~500-700 rpms?

I have the same problem. My idle goes under 1000 rpm. I don't know whether it should be 1000 or less, but my car shakes as well like my car is about to die or something. Honestly if I had an answer for this problem I would definitely help you, but I dont I'm figuring out what it is too. And I only have 127k miles, that's not alot.

750 is about perfect idle for a 240. If it's cold, you may notice it revvign a bit higher to help warm up.

Yeah you can hook your lap top into the USB slot on the side of the ECU to get full control over it and even be able to map it for nawwwwsss. Actually I have never heard of adjusting anything with the stock ecu, I don't think you can.

The proper idle speed for KA24DEs should be between 700-1000 RPMs. According to the tech books, of course.

if the 95 and up 240 dohc is like the altima engine there should be a screw for adjustment near the (thinks) i know its not by the tb........*thinkin* it should be by cyl #1 on the intake port.

if not it should be on your tb

you would also need to warm up the car for 2 mins get it to operating temp. disconnect your tb sensor and adjust the screw and check

it should tell you your rpm range under your hood

then plug everything back in and enjoy

When I first start my car, it's about 1100, when it warms up, it's abut 600. In the cold, it stays anywhere from 800-1000 on idle. Does that mean my car is messed up? Or does it just have normal PMS mood swings like a woman?

That's pretty normal Lauren...the fluctuation with temperature. But your warm idle speed is about 100rpm low, but no biggie...that's about where mine idles, with warm-up at about 1100 as well.
