Spacers + Handling? S14.
Ok to clear my new R33 GTR rims, 5mm spacers are not going to do the job.
Heres my question: If I run a 10mm spacer all around, will this have any adverse affects on performance. What if I just run it on the front? I plan on getting the ichiba or project kics one with the studs already in it. Please don't just say you won't notice it....give me some advice please haha. |

Get hubcentric spacers
I was running a combination of 5mm and/or 8mm spacers, and there was steering wheel vibration above 68mph

I run 10mm front to clear coilovers, and none in the back on my Z33 Track wheels. Never have had an issue. PS: Get OEM hubs, stay away from Icheapba

ichiba ones are hub centric. Had 25mm on my s14 for over a year and drifted it. NO problems at all.
You would notice it while drifting maybe....and just maybe. Other than that, its a few more ounces, and gives you a hair of a wider track. |

spacers are fine, get hubcentric, dont over torque them, dont use an impact gun to put them on, etc. you will be fine if you listen to those few things |

using spacers have some effects, you might feel them or not, depending on how you drive.
Increasing front track width gives understeer. Increasing rear track width gives oversteer. A 5mm difference is really noticeable on a gokart, i dont think it makes such a difference on a big car. And yes, you want understeer (at the exit of corners at least) so dont just bolt 25mm on the rear. lowering the offset of a wheel (or using spacer ) will also change the scrub radius, which you might not like (the car will "turn" less) and will also give a longer arm to compress springs. It means the larger the spacers, the stiffer the springs need to be to achieve the same effort. again, 5 to 10mm might not change a lot. 25mm makes a noticeable difference though. You might have problem fitting 10mm bolt on spacers though. Check you have enough clearance on the wheels to let the oem studs go. It needs to be hollow between the mounting holes (i dont know how to describe it, sorry) . Wheels with 10 holes wont fit a bolt on spacer less than 25mm for example. You could however just cut the studs. |

how's the Prius btw? You need German magnesium alloy ones, they negate gravity. |

It got deleted, my friend! Too strong information for the mods, I think they want a monopoly on the poo poo techniques man. But you know me, I give it for free because my heart is kind like a baby seal, and I hope we are all like brohams, but you know nothing like gay commune, just good friends.
