Searched for all things KA24E and didnt find this. Maybe someone knows.

I got a guy who has an 86 Pickup w/ a carb ka24e. The motors no good and needs to be replaced. Whats the differences and what would have to be changed to use a fuel injected motor? it was an understanding that the intake manifold would not interchange. Not trying to build a crazy race truck or anything just need to replace the motor. I ask b/c i dont think finding a carb KA24E is gonna be that easy. Any input in the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

buy a used ka24e/de for about $300 would be your best bet honestly
