It says on the site 215/40/17 on 17" rims.  With those tires, the rim width will be 7 or 7.5 inches.

yeah, those 5zigen copse 5zr's r usually 17 X 7.5 for 4 lug. those would be perfect for what i'd want right now if they were all black. i guess u could've already known this info though since u said it was on the site, if u meant in a thread though, here's the link to tell all the info on the car.

i want to run 245's on the rear. any idea what rim width i'll need? i have 7.5s now but i think i'll have to increase the width. will 245's fit without rubbing? oh yeah, i'll want 18/40/245. anyone forsee any problems with this setup?

for 245's you need at least a 8.5" rim...9" couldn't hurt.  245/40/18's are too big...you need to go to 35 or even 30 series tires.  And as long as you get the correct offset and tire size, those should fit without a problem.

why are they to big? do they rub or what? i have 225/40/18 now and they are a pretty rough ride. i think 30 or 35 would be even worse?

To ensure you don't rub and so your speedometer won't be way off, you need to maintain as close to stock total tire diameter as possible.
The stock 195/60/15 and 205/55/16 have 24.2 and 24.9 inch diameters respectively. So you want to try to keep it in that range. 245/40/18 have a diameter of 25.7"...that's an inch taller over stock. Your 225/40/18's are 25.1" tall...close enough. 245/35/18's are 24.8" tall...perfect. 245/30/18's are a little short at 23.8" tall, but would give you slightly better gearing and more clearance. I have 225/45/16's that are 24" exactly. If you go out of the 24.2-24.9" range, go shorter...not taller.

the second number (i.e....45, 35, 55, etc.) is called the aspect ratio.  It's not a fixxed number but a ratio or percentage.  Take my 225/45/16's for instance.  They are 225 mm wide...roughly 8.85 inches wide.  The sidewall is 45% of the width...101.25 mm which is roughly 4".  Add 4" on each end of the 16" rims and you have a 24" diameter.

thank you, just had that explained to me by a guy here at work. good info. i thought the 40 was a fixed number in mm, not a ratio.

They are 17x7.5 with 215/40/17 tires.

5Zigen R-Rate Springs (Not Availible Anymore) and its a 1.3" front drop and 1.1" rear drop.
