No elec. power after sr swap

First off, I have a '90 s13 hatch I bought with a blown ka. Everything worked on the car when I got it, and the motor would attempt to turn over. I yanked the ka out and put an sr in its place. I upgraded a couple things along the way, including a t28.

Now that you know what I'm working with, here's my issue. I finally got to the point where I was ready for a test fire. I wasnt ready to run the car, but just wanted to turn it over. I hooked a jumper cable from my truck to the pos. terminal, and grounded to the frame. I get absolutely no power at all. Is this a ground issue?

Another thing I noticed is that I cannot find a ground on the car. I ran the cable from my trucks battery and hooked my test light to it. I couldnt get it to light up anywhere on the car. The second I touched my truck, it lit up. I tried maybe 10 places on the car trying to get a good ground but none of them worked. Any ideas would be appreciated. I got to the point where I had been working on the car enough for the day and was tired of trouble shooting so I walked away from it for the day. Im sure its something simple, but I'm brain dead right now!

heres a link for the fsm and it shows you all the grounds. i would check all them over.

also check that 75amp alt fuse. I couldn't get my car to turn over but didnt have any lights or anything else work for me. replaced that and all my lights worked. I also had a bad ground and it fixed my problem. car fired right up

I bought my car with no motor or trans so it was like shooting in the dark, I know the feeling.

heres the FSM 240sx FSM, Full Service Manuals, S13, S14, KA24E, KA24DE : 240sx General Discussion

Thanks! I'm just gonna re-do all my grounds and start there. That way I can eliminate that if it doesnt fix it. I'm pretty sure its a ground issue though.

Well I fixed the elec. issue... The new grounds did the trick. Now I just have to crank the car. It turns over and all electronics in the car work, but I havent cranked it yet. Still have to finish a couple small things before that happens.

This is what it sounds like right now. Something is up w/ it, but I havent narrowed it down yet
