too fucking low
so i just got my car on the road today, but the exhaust rapes the pavement like all hell. i refuse to raise more than half an inch. is there any companies besides powered by max that offers a downpipe shorter than factory? i have a project nissan downpipe right now that is clearly not cutting it. any input? check the picture thread for reference. i'm almost tucking rim. thanks in advance for any input.
picked the car up May '06, finished it today. my hard work and money will not go in vain!

FAIL, move to florida and enjoy life there. Some exhaust are lower that others which is why the op is asking about others. I have a greddy down pipe and is see's the cement often, buy i believe the circuit sports is a thinner design.

... But yes, Circuit Sports does make an oval shaped down pipe that does not pass the frame rail underneath the car.

Anyways, back to the OP, personally, I'd take it to a muffler shop and have them cut and reweld it. Itll be cheaper than buying another DP. |

Get yourself a Circuit Sport or Moon Face one and you would hit frame first. |

Circuit sports still scrapes at the flange. All DP's have the same exit flange angle so they can bolt up to cat back exhuasts... if you want to push your exhuast up higher, I would suggest re-doing the flanges. Also you should be able to clock some of the flanges to give you more clearance.

learn how to drive a lowerd car???
I used to have a bug that you could barley put your finger under the front beam and could barley fit a quarter under the rear collector.Had a few bagged trucks. I know how to drive lowered cars. Just the point where the Op is at its just not smart, going down the road (60mph) and then all of a sudden theirs a unexpected steel plate where they had construction and you cant swerve because theirs cars on either side of you.....What are you going to do slam the breaks and hit it sideways and cause a accident or maybe get rear ended by the old lady not paying attention behind you, just cuz you wanted to tuck rim???.... Just saying in the Daily Drive world Shit happens!!! now if your 16 and just wana slam your shit drive up and down your drive way take pics for silvia so you can be the lowest on the forum then I guess thats the cool thing to do right??? |

Not everyone cares about suspension geometry, not every 240 has to be a race car.
Hose clamps around exhaust hangers If downpipe sits on ground, get taller motor mounts. Perhaps larger profile tires, as last resort. Never raise car, ever. |
