ok now my clutch just went out yesterday on me. i work at nissan so the stock one is not spensive at all. i will be getting a det but thats in like a year or 2 cause of to many bills etc that need to be paid.

back to the subject on hand. should i go stock, or high perf? i have the ka24e and i wont be making any mods at all to the engine besides maintenance.

so what are your opinions? stock or companies like act, cf, clutch masters?

You will need an aftermarket clutch to handle the extra power after you go turbo.
If you buy an aftermarket one now, you get the chance to get used to a much tighter clutch (its a big difference if you haven't driven something with a really stiff clutch before), but you will also put a year or two of wear on the clutch when you really don't need it.
I would probably go with the factory clutch, especially if you can get a good deal on it, until you get the turbo.  But, you will definately need to upgrade the clutch when you do, so it might be more economical to get it now.

My boyfriend has a Clutchmasters upgrade, and it's actually softer than my clutch on my '91. Now, my clutch is not exactly new, but it's still stiffer than the Clutchmasters. I also thought it was gonna be stiffer than the clutch he'd originally had there, but it really isn't at all. I'm not saying that it won't get more stiff with time, but you'll be used to it by then.
I go by that whole: If it's broken, fix and upgrade it; so I'd suggest getting an aftermarket clutch. (Start with a stage I upgrade if you won't get the DET anytime soon.)

I was a big fan of the ACT street Clutch that i out in my car. It grips faster and lower to the floor than the stock one, but not enough to make it real annoying for normal driving.
They are about $300, i got mine from:
www.enjukuracing.com
I might actually be able to sell you mine though if you want it, b/c I crashed my car after havin it for only 1k miles after putting on the clutch.
