RB Installing an Oil catch can on a RB25det

I have searched google and this forum itself, and found nothing other than other motors, or someone who has installed one incorrectly. I want to know if someone could make me a diagram on MS Paint or something explaining how to correctly install an Oil catch can.

I'm pretty sure I don't have any of the stock piping near the intake (the pipe that the stock valvecover lines go to, and the line that recirculates the stock bov) because of a custom intake pipe and a greddy plenum. I know something has to be routed to a PCV valve, right? Hope this is enough information for someone. Thanks in advance.

1) Valve cover breather hole -> 1st hole in catch can.

2) Wherever you originally connected the valve cover breather hole hose to before -> 2nd hole in catch can.

* If you just vented the original hose, then leave the 2nd hole in the catch can vented. Not ideal, but works just fine.

No you don't route it to a pcv valve; you only route to an unpressurized source (i.e. before the turbo & after the maf ideally).

hmm... okay thanks. Right now I just have the original hose going off randomly into a corner of my engine bay. So I guess I'll need to vent it with a little filter when I install the can.

Here's how I had mine hooked up. From the valvecover to the catch, from the catch back into the intake pipe.

Wow that looks way better then MS Paint. But I don't have any plumbing on my intake. I guess I can rig up something or just vent it. Thank you, HYPNOTIK

Search on NICOs RB forum. There are at least 6 threads that people have created because they thought their question was original. One thread is all-inclusive and will answer all of your questions.

I had to have a nipple welded in, if your running the stock intake you should have a spot.
