get the dual fans off of a altima from the junk yard, and wire em up, i believe they are a little wider than the rad, but no big deal.

I have been using just my accessory fan and it has been working great. I am also turbod so I would figure that would make extra heat. try it out, it is easy to replace if it does start to warm up to much.

I did it. And I live in Miami. Just don't sit in traffic with your AC on and it's fine. Summer is starting to roll around so we'll see. But for a free mod, it makes a car a little rev happier..

just a reminder, s14's have thicker radiators than the s13's. so if you have a s13, its prolly not gonna cool as much without enough flow.

I did not rewire any thing and it appears to be okay.

iam assuming you tapped into the high fan relay using a toggle switch to ground then a diode to connect to the trigger wire on the relay?? right now i have it on constant high, its pretty hot here in florida...

Just remember, if your car runs hot, you'll be losing any HP gained by removing the rotating weight. The stock ECU will retard timing due to higher temp. Enjoy your no HP gain mod!

I think the altima fans are a good upgrade, but in florida heat, it might not work as well. The benifits of removing the clutch fan aren't worth the modification. The clutch fan spins at a speed in relation to the motor's rpm's. (I am not sure what the relative speed is.) Plus the E-fan works best when air is flowing mostly through the radiator. If you drift, then this isn't (in my opinion and experience.) is not the best option. The rotational mass and kinetic potential energy stored by the fan assembly isn't enough to rob any significant amount of power away from the motor. I live in the metro orlando area, and most of the time here in florida, it is freaking hot! If you don't like being very hot, then sitting in traffic, with the florida heat and humidity, without A/C is not an option. If you decide to wire up the e-fans, I would wire them to the fuel pump relay. This way you don't have to worry about remembering to flip a switch. The fan will run as long as the car is on. I guess it all depends really though on preference and driving habits.

I'm in Tampa, with an e-fan. I'm using the stock fan shroud with a massive 2950 CFM perma-cool fan. I have the original a/c fan still wired stock, so I can use my a/c, and not worry about burning out that fan, which would take out the compressor later. I also wired the fan up with a thermostat, and its somewhere just below operating temp. The car warms up very quickly, and the fan kicks on. Stays on, and when I turn off the car, it still stays on until the car drops just below operating temp. Its really good (in my mind) for secondary turbo cooling also.

^^^^ thats kinda cool. what i did with mine is i hooked up some wires to the existing relay(the write up from 240sx.org) and instead of just grounding it out so the relay is closed looped, i hooked up a switch between the two. this way if i want the fans on all the time, i just flip a switch and it only turns on when the cars on and visa-versa. i dunno whats up with all this wiring it up to the fuel pump deal is theres already wiring for the stock fan, so just hook it up to that, and itll only get power when the ignition is in the on position. the fan kicks in when it senses about 200*f (i think, a little high IMHO) or just buy an adjustable thermostat like jeff.

I am using a 93+ Integra E fan, just one. The fit is almost perfect for the radiator with only about 3in left on either side. Ill let you know how it is once I get the car running.
