What would be needed to push 30 PSI (or more) of boost on a KA24DE? What horsepower levels would be expected? I know it would take ALOT of money but i'm buying a engine/tranny b/c i blew my tranny and build the motor up over a long time. I would like to have 600+ HP and i realize it will probably cost $10-15K+, but I want to have the title of fastest KA 240.

no need for 30psi of boost...what youll need is a t-70 and a nice engine rebuild with some nice pistons and rods new cams intercooler bov etc
dont be an idiot and blow up your engine because you think more boost=more speed...
a lot of turbos top off after 20 and any more will blow something up or not do anything at all

Here's some ideas i have:
    turbo: Garrett T76
exh. man.: Kiwi (does anyone have info on them? Saw their 240 manifolds in Sport Compact.)
    engine: crower billet rods
                 JE 8.2:1 CR forged pistons
                 crank strengthening? (help)
                 block strengthening? (help)
some kind of main cap girdle?
could a block guard be made like the hondas?
                 full head/int./exh. porting, matching polishing
                 Farrea oversized int./exh. valves.
dual valvesprings (want to rev to 7500rpms, any suggestions?)
                 all balanced & blueprinted

Other: fuel suggestions?
ign. and comp. suggestions? (really confused by these)
Any other mods and help will be appreciated.

As far as Block strengthening goes, its not really necessary. The 240 has an iron block. For the horsepower your looking for you will want to have the bottom end race-preped. A block guard is necessary on honda's b/c of the use of Aluminum blocks. Besides the fact that honda's like to blow-up under pressure.

You don't need dual valve springs to rev to 7500. Maybe 9,000 you would need them. You willneed 720cc (i think) fuel injectors, and a standalone fuel management system. Maybe Haltech. (haven't ever heard of a system with that kind of power running a haltech though) Z32 or Cobra MAF's. Upgraded Fuel pump, and larger fuel filter. not sure what else.

Personally, if I had about 15 grand to spend just on straight engine power and low quarter mile, I'd invest in either a Skyline or 300zx motor transplant. With 30 psi's in a KA24DE? I'd wouldn't mind seeing that. Good luck.

Do you think you can control a 600hp beast on daily roads?

Actually you are on the right track. Lower compression ratio, forged rods/pistons. Balanced crank, cams designed for a turbo. Intake machining and valve job. Larger fuel injectors, larger MAF, bigger fuel delivery system. Most free flowing exhaust you can have and a big intercooler. Front mounts are most effective. Hi performance ignition system, I think MSD has something we can use and JWT does the computer. If that doesn't give you enough you can always slap some nitrous on it too. Just becareful with the computer programming because they usually advance the timing which can cause problems with the nitrous.

Just wondering...what are you gona do with this thing? Is it gona be striped down, added roll cage and drag raced? Or is it gona stay "streetable" like a REALLY fast weekend car? Be sure to get some huge ass 13" rotors if its not strictly a drag car! What year 240 do you have? Any time table on when the project will start? This is gona be one crazy beast! Good luck...

That sounds like a good idea. Who knows, if you really make this thing a monster, maybe you could get sponsored.

Well, i have to find a beater first. That should take a couple weeks. Then I'm going to buy an engine and tranny from a junkyard and go from there. It will probably take a year or two but i'm not trying to rush things, just do everything right and get top quality ($) NEW parts. I plan on this being a mostly weekend racer and maybe cruise sometimes, but i only will run that high of boost at the track; thinking maybe 15-18 PSI w/ 93 octane on the street and 30-32 PSI @ the track w/ 112 octane probably. We'll see; but i do know i'm serious about this.

Where are you located? If you are in the southwest, or are willing to travel, you should give AEBS a call, I forgot their # though. They have a sweet shop in San Diego and are killing the competition in their RWD PRO IMPORT Focus. They also built up couple of 240's. One as a Silvia, and the other was turbo KA.
