s13 SR20DET No Start Code 11

Hey i need some help with my sr20det i just got the car running good and all of the sudden last night i pulled up into my drive way and was letting the car idle before turning it off and it died on me out of no where.

I went to check to see if my fuel pump was priming took it out an checked but its not also went to swap out the Fuel pump relays (EGI) both green and still no luck after trying that i checked the ecu and it was throwing a code witch is code 11 CAS i believe already did some research but found nothing could the cas be off causing the car not to start.? it cranks but it wont fire up.

also could that code stop the fuel pump from priming.? i find it really weird that it wont prime any more already did the fuel pump upgrade to the 255 Walboro and its brand new Im really stumped any insite or help would be very appreciated.

PS its a s13 sr20det redtop

+1 on checking the fuel pump fuse..on an s13 it's in the engine bay inside the black fuse box..also check the grounds..there's on right behind that same
Box and there is one in the trunk/hatch I believe..check that make sure nothining inside your trunk/hatch might have cut your harness..as for code 11 your cas could actually stop your car from starting because it controls timing and injector pulse..so make sure it's on correctly and plugged in..another thing is the small ground behind the head that goes connected to your firewall make sure that small shoelace ground(or wire if you changed it) is hooked up trust me it matters. What throws me off is that your car was running before..did you rebuild the motor? If so
You might have set the timing chain on wrong..let me know and I'll try an help you out as much as I can

Thanks for the help guys I checked the egi and egi relays swapped them out with two different ones and still no luck the fuel pump fuse is good too I haven't rebuilt the motor and what's weird was that I went to McDonald's to get food came back and I always wait 3 min before I shut the car off to let the turbo cool off i didn't open her up or anything but still I just replaced the turbo but as soon as I was going to turn her off she just died after replacing the relays and no luck with that I checked the ecu for codes and it only gave me a code 11 I have taken it out once before to set it right but I'll check those wires you told me about I'm at work but I'll still reply to this post through my phone but again thanks for the help I really appriciate any and all the help I can get

Last time! The black with pink stripe wire, is the ground trigger signal wire for the fuel pump relay. It is controlled by the ecu. Open your ecu locate pin 104 with an ecu pin out. Follow the traces look for burnt or broken traces (post picture if you don't know what you're looking at!) If you tested the wiring from the relay to the pump? I'm sure it's either: black/Pink wire broken (check continuity), Broken / fried trace or Bad ecu!

thanks for the info i checked with a multimeter on the black box by the throttle body and everything checked out with sticking the prongs in where the relay goes im getting power there i took the multimeter to the blk/pnk wire pin 1047 on the ecu and checked for a voltage reading behind the ecu and got no reading what so ever from the back of the ecu to the blk/pink wire what voltage is it supposed to be getting.?

Make a jumper wire, 3-4 inches long. looking into the relay socket, top row from passengers side 1. 2 bottom row 3. 4. . jump pins 2 and 3 or 4 and 3. The fuel pump should turn on and off with the key. No external switch required.

k thanks for the advice well i found out that my fuel pump is not fried since i did that and it primed i also fixed the cas and realigned the dots up so thats taken care of now i still cant find a solution as to why the fuel pump wont prime by its self the ecu is throwing code 55 and i swapped ecus already to see if my ecu was fryed but its not

now i wanna know if there would be any way to bypass the relay and wire direct voltage to the fuel pump and not have it run on the main harness just two simple cables negative and positive and have a fuse and a switch attached to it so i can turn the fuel pump on and off when ever i want to start the car ive looked but havent found anything anywhere a link to how its done with some pictures is all this noob can ask for :P but again thanks for all the help this forum has helped me so much i cant thank you guys enough

ps sorry about the novels i have bin writing i try to keep it short and simple

The ecu could have a burnt trace for the fuel pump, the black and pink wire could be broken. Those are reasons why the ecu wont prime the pump. I'm confused because your saying now, the pump won't power on, after you made a jumper wire? you probably wired the relay wrong. So I would probably have you start from scratch, just to eliminate any confusion.

ok well heres the thing now that i did that jumper wire like you showed me i put them in the correct pins like i saw in the picture and the pump would not prime with the key turned to the accessorys on

i checked the volts with the jumper cable on as well and i got 12v to the fuel pump but it still wont prime i also did the relay the wire i hooked up was from the positive battery and hooked it up to the 30a fuse then from there hooked it up to the 87 prong on the relay i hooked up the 86 prong is hooked up to the blue/pink wire on the pump witch is the negative side on the fuel pump and the 30 prong is hooked up to the blue/pink wire on the harness prong 85 is grounded but there is nothing hooked up to the positive side of the fuel pump and there is a one prong left in the middle of the relay i believe its showing as the 87q or something like thast what should be hooked up the the positive wire on the fuel pump.?

i hooked up the 86 prong is hooked up to the blue/pink wire on the pump witch is the negative side on the fuel pump
86 is the relay energize trigger, it comes from the stock wiring.
30 goes to the FP power wire, power for the fuel pump
85 is chassis grounded
87 is the only one that appears connected correctly
87a leave unconnected

Leave the fuel pumps ground wire connected normally or add a new chassis ground.

ok so what i got now is the 87 hooked to the positive terminal on the battery

i got the 30 on the relay to the fuel pump positive side

85 is grounded to the chassi

86 to the harness from the fuel pump positive side going away from the pump i am about to post pictures

You shouldn't have to mess with the chain unless you previously moved it.
set the no.1 piston to tdc on compression stroke, re stab cas. the set timing via light to 15deg

remove no.1 spark plug, insert a long dowel or screw driver into the hole, watch as you move the crank marks to tdc, the screw driver will stop moving up.
That's TDC

You mean the pop pop pop, after cranking? Usually timing probably, 180degs off.
I was waiting for pictures, but if you're still having issues? We might need to test a few things.
You could always donate to the forum, care of me, lol... and you'll get to go blue!

Your relay is not being energized.
Try swapping pins 85 and 86 on the relay
if still no go, try swapping 87 and 30.
if still not working pin the pins back in their original configuration.

Test the voltage at pin 86 with key on engine off. There should be battery voltage.
with battery voltage going to 86 ground 85 there should be a click, if no click replace the relay.
Careful with this test, the pump will run if still connected. and it should.
