....?
How do you know you are running rich? Do you have a wideband installed? What are your a/f ratios? Last edited by Dboyizmlg; 09-26-2013 at 02:26 PM.. Reason: Miss spelled |

No wide band. How can I get the a/f ratio. I know its running rich because it is not burning my gas, every time I drive it it smells like gas. I also took it to the shop and they cant find the problem, they told me that its a mixture if little problems that is causing my car to run rich.i just dont know what the problem might be! How can I find the issue?

You need a wideband so you can determine where you're A/f ratios are at.
If you smell gas while you drive, then you should starts looking for fuel leaks. Might want to start with the fuel hose at the fuel filter, and fuel lines around that area. Also, take a look at the injectors some times the O-rings go bad, and leak fuel on the intake manifold. If all else fails, try replacing you're O-ring on the fuel pump cover (gas tank). It maybe coming from there also. It's pretty easy to determine a leak. Sounds like the shop you took it to, didn't really know what they were doing. If you are NOT burning enough gas then I would think that would cause it to be Lean. (Not rich). Look for fuel leaks, fix that first then go from there. Tune up might help |
