Fuel Pump advice.
Alright so I got another question and lol I can't decide which one's got more durability and whether its worth the money or not.
I was thinking about getting ISIS Performance High-Pressure 255 ltr/hr Fuel Pump vs the Walbro High-Pressure 255 ltr/hr Fuel Pump for my S13 which one is totally worth it and will last me in the long run say.... 2 years? OEM one is getting a bit old on my SR.

My car had a Walbro 255 installed already when I purchased it 6 years ago, still works too. Planning on using it as the feeder pump for my bosch 044 surge tank setup.

i went with aem 320lph. it came out to about the same as the walboro.
http://aemelectronics.com/?q=product...p-offset-inlet think it was about $100 from frsport.com higher flow rating than walboro for the same price and higher quality. i've heard unsubstantiated rumors regarding failing walboros. and isis. why? do you hate freedom? do you hate USA?

Walbro has a factory in China, so now you will get lower quality parts in the pump. They no longer make their pumps in the U.S.A
I recommend you buy AEM. |

Another little piece of advice is to make sure the fuel sock is secured to the pump. My first walbro failed when the fuel sock fell off. I currently have like 3 big zipties holding my fuel sock on my walbro and haven't had any issues for 5+ years. Also, I'd use the stock fuel sock as it's longer and will lessen the chance of the pump running dry when your tank is empty. That AEM one looks short as fck lol.

I have a high flow walbro fuel pump in my S13. No problems what so ever. its been inside the fuel tank for about six years going on seven. From my experience, i would recomend that fuel pump.

For the past 3 years or so they now make them in China, which is not the same quality parts. I'm sure yours (older model) has a PAT number inscribed on it. As the new versions do not. You can clearly tell the difference in quality when you compare the two side to side. |

I just replaced a fuel pump with a new authentic walbro. It still says "made in USA" on the pump. They sound different though, the old ones always kinda whined, this one has a low-tone, like a muffled washing machine. Cant hear it with the engine running though (and I have OEM exhaust)
As a side note, you can buy a walbro "look alike" (knock off) for $35~ shipped from ebay. I bought one as a spare in case my in-tank pump dies on the side of the highway one day. Also curious how they compared, I snapped pictures Walbro on the left, the most notable difference is the quality of the plastic clip at the top, and the plastic seems more robust, just thicker, around the bottom where the sock goes. |

I have both older version with PAT number, and newer version with no PAT.
They both have inscribed "made in USA", but the newer one is not. Also notice the top part of the plastic connecter, looks like they Swaped it in a 180 degre (opposite side). |

Thanks a lot y'all but I already traded my S13 for an FC Vert. I wanted to try something new and I ordered the AEM one and added that with the trade to the guy.
