Anyone have experiences with these rotors?    Better to get cross-drilled versus slotted?  Any brake pads recommended?  TIA.  Any advice appreciated.

Check my old post, "Favorite brake pads / rotors."  I think it's in the chat section.  The consensus was that cross-drilled are more susceptable to cracking.  Also, Everybody said that solid disks are more for stopping the best.  It's 6 am, and i'm not a morning guy, so sorry if I don't spell well.

Thanks for the advice.  Do you have any suggestions as to where I can order them?  Also, do they sell them for both the front and rear?

Depends on what lug pattern you have. If you have the 4 lug, non-abs or non-se rims, you can pick up brembo cross drilled / slotted rotors on Ebay.com. Umm.. I think they are $140 for the fronts, and around $200 for all 4. If you have 5-lug rims, you have to look on some parts stores, because it's rare to see 5-lug rotors on ebay. I would suggest powerslot, or KVR. They are both solid brembo base, with either x-drills or slots. Also, they come cad plated. PDM-racing.com has KVR rotors, and ptuning.com has powerslot. I don't know if they are the best prices, but they have them.
Also, if still were unsure about pads, metal-masters are popular, and I myself choose EBC.

Edit:  Ack! I hope no-one read my spelling of "popular"... I feel dumb... I had "poopular" up there for days! :slaps self:

Have had the Brembo cross-drilled rotors and the Axxis Metam Masters pads on for nearly three weeks now and am very pleased with the initial performance...stops great...whos to say in a couple months though...have heard good things right along with the bad...only time will tell

I've heard that the whole "X drill cracking" thing has been cured - although I wouldn't recommend these as there is no need unless you are running different calipers and race pads (the holes are for gassing).

As for pads, I have been doing my homework and just placed my order today for Carbotech Panther plus pads.  A bit steep, but I've heard only good about them on other cars, although I've yet to hear a 240 review.  Perhaps I will be the first.  They have a good bite, are rated to 1300F, and are rotor friendly.  We'll see - I've also heard they dust a lot!  I considered the Axxis MMs and Hawk HP's, but was afraid of all the bad press with the EBC's.  Whatever your choice, call the manufacturer's support line and talk to them about your aniticipated use, if you will be replacing F/R, and what you are willing to put up with re: noise and dust.  Most of the support people are weekend racers and daily drivers and will help you find the right compound for your needs.

not no good - just not necessary for most applications.  Check out the other post on the topic too.
