Steven, been curious, do the new OEM tanks come with a warranty from Nissan? I was shocked when I bought diff bearings and seals that it all came with a year warranty from the dealership.

I'm totally for a new tank if you can put out the money...not hating in the new tank at all, but like i said what do we do when the new tanks are no longer sold?? i couldn't afford a new tank so i fixed mine instead of buying a used tank thats just as old......sorry I'm getting better pics but it cracks on the passenger side right by the strap...majority crack in the same place...and some crack on the driver side by the fuel feed line i think it is...the white plastic..not the tank

I'm trying to figure out supplies..well a better way in getting them so i can hopefully lower the price to around $50-60 for repair by me

If you were smart, sell a kit with the supplies and tutorial for them to fix it.

true but I don't think I can since its not like I created the patch material in a lab...i guess its just mainly my technique on how i did it and and the different stages..

I am sure someone could make something in Autocad or any 3d software. If our stock tank is 17 gallons or whatever in the original location, I am damn sure that someone could make at least a 10 or 11 gallon tank.

I have no clue on what material you should use, but I would assume aluminum or whatever material they use for fuel cells that go in the trunk, paired with a decent sized heat shield and an inline pump or in-tank pump.

I don't see this thing having a huge cost of RnD or production. Someone step up.

Maybe I'll do something about it once I take my AutoCad class and actually have a windows computer instead of my dinky little macbook.

I'm still in for a "true" viable fix, a repair might be nice if you're in a pinch, but the plastic won't ever stop being brittle, a full aftermarket replacement would be nice, there will come a day when a new OEM tank isn't even an option, so having an alternative solution out there would be outstanding.
