180sx ATS 2-Way into Q45 Housing?

I have an ATS 2-Way in a stock 180sx housing. I want to swap it to the Q45 housing so I can use the 2-way instead of the q45 vlsd and keep 4.08 gearing but with the beefier axles.

I did read somewhere that with proper shimming and/or machining the stub axles someone swapped in their s13 ring and pinion. Although I'm worried that since I'd be swapping the 2-way over it may not work with the q45 stub axles needed to run the big axles? But my knowledge is pretty limited here, so if someone could shed some light that would be helpful.

i'd recommend contacting a reputable driveline shop, bring them both housings and both internal sets, have them compare side by side, and they can give you an accurate answer

I think you need to match the internals with the input shafts. I dont believe that your lsd is going to accept those q45 shafts. If you have both then try it and find out.
