Stance coilovers + RUCAs? Help me get dropped.

Alrighty so around the 1st of the year I plan on investing in a set of Stance coilovers, either the GR+ or the GR+ Pro, to get my S13 out of 4X4 mode.

Here are links to both coilovers...

STANCE GR+ Coilovers for Nissan 240sx - Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC

STANCE GR+ PRO Coilovers for Nissan 240sx - Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC

I really want to be as low as I can and I know Ill have terrible negative camber. Im assuming that the front camber plates on the coilovers will correct most of it in the front, but in the rear Ill need RUCAs right?

Im thinking about either these Circuit Sports

Circuit Sports Rear upper control Arms For Nissan 240sx - Enjuku

Or these Megans

Megan Racing Rear Upper Camber Arms For Nissan 240sx - Enjuku Racing

Which of those would you guys reccomend and is that all Ill need to be able to run my 240 low low LOW and not have crazy tire wear? If it matters, the car is my daily driver but I plan on tracking it a bit.

Any other help would be great! Thanks!

GR+ are fine.

Don't go with either of those RUCAs manufacturers. SPL, Battle Version, or any of the good kinds. You don't want to have a rod end go bad on you. That's never good.

Im a student on a budget hence the $1100 coilovers. Im sure something like Megan will be fine for me and if not, then I can upgrade but Ive heard decent shit about their arms.

Mainly, I wanna know if RUCAs is all that Ill need to be in good shape when slammed on those coilovers or if Im missing something?

Well you dont necessarily need anything, lots of people run all stock suspension with coilovers. But if your asking if all you need is RUCAs to fix the negative camber created from slammage which seems like your most concerned about then yes.

plan on getting toe rods for the rear too! excessive toe will also kill tires quickly.

I had actually heard that but wasnt sure if I should invest in some toe rods aswell.

So I should get RUCAs and toe rods for the rear...and the front will take care of itself?

S13s get a lot of toe out when the rear suspension compresses, so when you slam your car from the stock 4x4 status, you'll need to at least get some toe rods to dial the toe back in to a more sensible range.

0 toe works well for a lot of pros and should simmer down the excessive inner tire wear.

With what I said above, I would suggest getting toe rods over getting RUCA if you can only afford a set of arms + the coilovers, as the toe rods are more important IMO than RUCAs, although they're both very important pieces of the rear suspension.

The front toe settings can be adjusted via your tie rods, so you should be OK there.

Thanks man. I think Ill just get both RUCAs and toe rods since for the level Im getting, its not too much more. And I dont wanna have to dig into the suspension later if I can help it.

if you're worried about it, why dont you wait until you can afford everything? it's always best to save and do everything decently. i'm running a similar set up to what you're going for. i just waited until i had the money and then did it. don't forget you still need an alignment after that too. so that's an extra 75 bucks or so. but that's just my opinion.

Totally agree, I save till I can afford everything coil, RUCA, rear toe, and in my case the shop that i went also encourage me to put front tension rod too (those arms from Peak Perf.)
Not sure if you'll agree, but I would put strut bar in to the set up too.

Strut bars aren't necessary to correct the alignment on the car, so you can get those whenever you like. Or never get them.

Getting T/C rods is a good idea as well, as most stock units have blown bushings on them almost 20 years after being on the road.

Thats what I said I was gonna do in my previous post. Im gonna buy the coilovers, RUCAs, and toe rods all at once and do it that way.

And yeah alignment is gonna have to happen, thanks for reminding me.

I'd really recommend going for SPL parts over the CS or Megan stuff. When your talking Ruca's and Toe Rods its only a couple hundred more.

I understand that its tough saving that much up and you want to do mod's to your car as quick as possible, but just save up and do it right.

You also don't have buy everything all at once like everyone's saying. Just put them all on at the same time. I'm in college right now and have been slowly saving up and buying car parts for my car. I just recently saved up enough to purchase SPL tension rods and inner tie rods. Now I'm saving up for outer tie rod ends and new tie rod boots. Eventually I'll get around to putting it all on but I'm just taking my time doing it right.

All I'm trying to say is just take your time and do it right the first time you'll end up saving a lot of money in the long run, and isn't that why you want to get CS in the first place?

powered by max for everything that you asked for, end of story. they are also known as parts shop max.

but if you wanna look for more reasonable expensive alternatives then...
for the coilovers you have to look at the specs, define them, see if they are right for you, and buy them. same for the arms.

i just like powered by max because of their attention to detail which leads to better innovation for their products (i.e. improving their own parts), adding potential to cars such as the steering angle kit, and their reasonable prices. can't beat it if your local.

Dont forget that you need a damn alignment when everything is said and done. Pretty pointless to swap rods and suspension in and not get a damn alignment.
