Hello all

I have a stock turbo Sr that's been running fine for almost 5 years.

Recently, when accelerating the car will build boost, but not accelerate.

It acts like the engine is under an extra heavy load and will make more boost than it normally should at the same throttle input. This problem is intermittent.

Now to me this sounds like a wiring issue. My question is where to look. The fact that the car will make boost and not break up rules out a boost leak. Its like the car is pushing against a wall.

I don't think heat is an issue because some days the car runs fine even when abused.

I've delt with maf issues before, it revs past 2500 just fine.

Check the ecu for codes! Then check timing!(with a light)

Sounds like ur timing is being retarded. Check knock sensor.
