Because I didn't believe in the Mayan prophecy I installed more parts in 2012:
Brand new roof rack and luggage carrier (Nissan dealer stored it for twenty years and nobody wanted it until I called and asked for it. ) New coil packs: Dust plates at the rear: New decals for the power windows (way more durable than the original painted ones and nearly the OEM-look. I still have serveral sets laying around, if you're interested ) Flexible Tow Hook: Rust-fighting on the a-pillars and a new windscreen: Nardi 330mm: And my biggest project in 2012: Street-legal Hella HID-projectors with automatic light levelling and high-pressure lens washer (all of this is mandatory by law if you want to convert your headlamps to HID.) And the final result: My S13 in 2012:

In 2013 a lot of magic happened....
First of all, some more parts: Driftworks camber arms and toe rods before: And after powder coating for better camouflage: Same with the hood hinge and the Z33-rotor-adapter: Refurbished and quietened my door panels... ... to help these guys do a better job: New shift knob. But why 6-Speed? Because Z33-transmission (CD008 with <20kmls) swap, that's why. Comparison of the transmission mounts: Comparison of the driveshaft for the Z33-swap (alu vs. steel): Trans finally installed with the alu-driveshaft: End of 2013 Part I.

@EvilEgg13:
It's custom made by a guy in our board (SXCE.de) who also fabricated the adapter-plate for the transmission. He's a little genius. (Nickname "Wulf", if you want to contact him) 2013 Part II: There will be blood(red colour)! Disassembling: Preparing and fixing all the smaller and bigger dents of the body: After the preparation was done, the filler and the base-colour silver where applied: And finally: Leaving the paint-shop: End of 2013 Part II.

2013 Part III: More and more and more.
After the new arms had been installed, an alignment was necessary: Back at home, I changed the front brakes from cast-calipers with Z32-rotors to aluminium-calipers with Z33-rotors. Looks better, brakes better. Interior improvements: We found the missing link! The status in early summer 2013: Back on the dyno in Vienna (where my engine was built): (The torn foil on the front bumper was there only for protection during the ~500mls trip from Germany to Austria ) End of 2013. More Bling in 2014...

2014:
After only one season the front bumper looked like it has been shot at (the aftermarket FRP-surface is too hard to bounce smaller stones without damage, such as an ABS bodypart is capable of). So I let it repaint again this year... (If you're curious about the round holes in the bumper, scroll down a bit. ) Before polishing: (I polished the whole car but I only took pictures of the bumper. Clever, I know. ) During polishing: After polishing: The extreme difference between polished and non-polished: But thats not all, I also used the chance to do something with the ugly black spray nozzle for the HID-headlamps. In the winter I switched the Hella-high-beams from Halogen-modules to HID-modules too... ....and normally that meant I would need four of these nozzles (one for each module). But I didn't want this und so I searched for a better solution. I finally found it here: It was a pain in the ass to fit these jets to the front bumper, but finally I made it. After the work was done, the bumper was wrapped by an local wrapping shop who cursed me afterwards because of the many curves, holes and angles of my aftermarker bumper. Can you spot the clear wrap on the whole frontbumper? No? Good. No chips or scratches on the bumper since then. New shift knob installed: (In the meantime I got rid of the spacer, so it sits deeper now ) New (and better suiting) license plates: End of 2014 Part I.

Car looks awesome.
My only question/complaint is why did you not remove the side windows when it was repainted? It looked like you had a ton of work done just to have a nasty tape line below the side windows.

I can assure you, there's no tape line. (The lip of the window-seal was lifted before painting. The painter owns an S13 himself: Click) Nearly nobody removes the side windows in Germany for painting, because they tend to break that often. But here's 2014 Part II: I lied a little bit when I said, that I didn't have pictures of the polishing of the rest of the car. I found some, here they are: And the result of polishing (also with the roof rack and the new Thule fairing I imported from the US of A, as Thule doesn't offer it in Ol' Europe anymore.) After six years with the same wheels I needed something new. Thanks to KuruptR, who gave me some kind advice concerning the correct size and offset I finally ordered a set of SSR Professor SP1: And the result: End of 2014 Part II.

2014 Part III:
Fat Lady wants to dance. (1.420 kg = 3.130 lbs ) In the shop, where >1000hp Supras and 1JZ-FD's are living. Custom made skidplate: New rotors and pads in the front: (Because of Parkinson steering wheel) OEM-switch for the headlamp washers (replacing the useless German-spec headlamp-level-regulator: Same plug, different readout. Changed the pins, works. ) The stiffer the better: (Weldseam has not it's final form yet. Colour also. ) Aaaaaaand finally: Recaro Speed with Bride MO What was... Is now... Old vs. New: And thats it. So far.

Thanks guys.
As you can image, I did post only the main modifications, but there were many more minor ones. As for example, the LED-conversion of my tailights. Clearcorners.com will surely not appreciate it and it's even illegal in Germany, to swap aftermarket LED-modules in OEM-lights, that are originally build for standard bulbs. But: Who cares? I gently call them my little Netzhautpeitschen (german for "Retina Whips" ) 30W-Cree-LEDs in all four brackets.

Some random pics from an event called "Überfest", which was held this year on a east-german racetrack with the the name "Sachsenring":
The night before: Kouki Love: (I felt a bit like an outsider ) Some more pictures of the annual S-Chassis-meeting called "Nürmeet" on the Nürburgring: My girlfriend, her S13 and my S13: Girlfriend is gone... Same but different: All alone:

Thanks guys.
The main transformation is done but we all know: It never ends. In the meantime I orderded an AVIN 7" Universal Double DIN system which runs on Android and is pretty sleek and sexy. Even the GoPro likes it: Because the search for the transmission-noises my Z33-trans produces continues, a new shifter-lever was made: It (hopefully) features damped vibrations: For comparison, the actual shifter-lever: When installing this part, also a new release bearing and an OEM flywheel will be fitted. My actual flywheel is an lightended OEM part (12kg -> 8kg) and we assume that this extra light flywheel is very counterproductive in terms of idle and lower rpm vibrations. (The Z33 features a dual mass flywheel which doesn't fit to the CA18) To date my rear Cusco strut bar and the NoName c-pillar bar had no connection. That made me sad. So a friend of mine made this to make me happy again: (It's his car not mine. ) And the result: Next step is a black coating. Last but not least: This car offers a very nice update for our S13.... Can you image what it is? (I don't talk about the KA24DE... )

Okay, I see the suspense reaches an unhealthy level...
So, here it is, what the high-trim EU-spec Nissan Terrano II and the badge engineered Ford Maverick have to offer for S13-owners: Full Metal Door Handles This is how it looks in an S13 (not mine): Heavy chrome, durable and solid. Rock hard and cold as ice. And it's simply Plug&Play, because Nissan was that cost-aware... If you want a pair too, just look for breakers and make sure you'll get the chrome ones, not the more often existing plastic ones (the same our car has). Bonus-Tip: The five-door models feature the handles also on the backdoors:

What do you want to know?
They're custom made, but very simple. I could post some pictures with a detailed view, if you like to.

Here are some pictures of the latest version:
Sorry, they aren't perfect, but you get the idea, I hope. There're two struts, one is holding the modules and the step-motor of the automatic light levelling. The other one sits in the top of the OEM-frame and provides stability and rigidity. I asked the manufacturer, who is a friend of mine and drives an S13 too, if he can send me some more pictures, especially of the sheet metal trim, holding the modules for the eye of the beholder. Maybe he'll produce some more brackets too. Side note: They're made for the 90mm-Hella-Modules which are available in Halogen, HID and LED.

It does give me a good idea on them. Years ago I did the same type of thing without auto leveling. But I have the hella halogen modules. Just need to re do the headlights and was looking for a different way to do it. If he makes the brackets, I would probably buy them.

Awesome build!
I've been lucky enough to have driven on the ring before but only in a modified Suzuki Swift I rented. I can't imagine being able to bring one of my own cars. I'm very envious. The headlights are awesome. He should sell those kits! btw I loved Germany when I was there on vacation. Amazing country.

Thanks a lot guys.
I really appreciate your kind words. In the meantime bigger injectors (560cc) have been fitted and a new mapping was done: Dyno-Sheet No. 1 Dyno-Sheet No. 2 Not the strongest engine around, but a smooth and reliable power output. If the turbo will fail someday, a Twin-Scroll-setup will be the next step.

Because some weird eletronical symptoms appeared, we installed an Wiring Specialties engine and trans harness combo with Z32 MAFS connector and new coilpack harness:
For the installation of the harness it was necessary to delete the ABS-block and to drain the AC. But all that effort finally led to an success: All problems were gone. So, some more parts found their way into my car:
After all that work some quality time followed: A 2.000km trip through Austria and the Alps with some good friends and colleagues from our (germanspeaking) Car Culture Blog USED4.net: More pictures you can find here: Click me hard And finally the short movie clip of our trip:
