RS13 from Germany: The neverending story (56K? lol More pictures than text :D )
Hi,
my name is Niels, I live in Darmstadt/Germany and what should I say? This is my car... Exterior / Chassis
Engine / Powertrain
Suspension / Rims / Tires
Interior
ICE
Parts for 2016
Output 334 HP & 300 lbs/ft at the clutch @1,3 Bar This is the actual speclist of my S13. I own it since the year 2000 (first login to Zilvia.net was in 2003 ^^ ) and as you can imagine, it made a transformation in many little and sometimes bigger steps. E.G. since 2000 it was painted three times, it had two engine build ups and four different aftermarket rim types. I will document my build year by year, but this will take some time, because beside my regular job I´m a moderator at the germanspeaking SXCE.de, a site very similar to Zilvia.net and if that´s not enough I´m one of the editors of USED4.net, a Car Culture Blog from Germany, even with some Fans in the U.S. of A. From now on I will hopefully be more frequently online at Zilvia.net to get new inspirations and maybe help some of you with my own experience and solutions. S-Chassis for ever. P.S. My nickname is not an evidence for my infinite narcissism (niels san), but instead a combination of niels and nissan. Just saying. ^^ P.P.S. The red stock-S13 on the last pic is the car of my girlfriend. She bought it in 2010, it has 50.000 Miles on it and stays stock and clean.

Thank you.
And I would love to drive with my S13 across the U.S. There are so many places, sites and cities I would want to visit. We have an annual S-Chassis meeting at the Nürburgring, called "Nürmeet" (clever, right? ). This year it was the 11th edition of it. And so I take the opportunity to drive one or two laps on the Nordschleife every year. But just for the picture, to be honest. The BMW behind me got me on the next corner. The headlights are Hella universal modules, they sell them in the U.S. too: Click In the SXCE.de (the german S-Chassis-Board) we have a skillful guy, who builds adapter-frames for these modules to put them in a RS13/RPS13 instead of the stock headlights, including the necessary light leveling. Honda NSX headlights don't fit, AFAIK. Here's another picture from the Nürmeet this year, next to the Nürburgring...

The leather is also much more durable than the stock-material Nissan used in Europe for the S14. He made a several updates and improvments and I was some kind of testee for him, so I don't really know what he wants for a pair of them actually. But the price will be surely in a range lower than 100 $. I will ask him and I will post some pics of the complete conversion, so you can decide for yourself if this solution would be acceptable for you. Thanks. Thats the light: Click It's obviously not available any longer, but there are comparable offers: Click again In my actual configuration it's working as a VERY bright parking light, because the (VW Golf-)frontmarkers above them are really only frontmarkers anymore. ^^

Thank you.
Do you mean this video from 2008? Click (Didn't get the Youtube-function to work correct.) If so, then is the red car in the video the S13 of a friend and the flat black car is mine. It was painted in that "color" from 2008-2012.

My build started in the year 2000, when I bought the car from the father of my girlfriend back then.
It was already modified by a german HKS-Shop, which meant that there were many surprises waiting for me, when I got more and more familiar with the car and the S13-familiy. These are the modifications I bought it with but didn't had any clue about them:
Pictures from that year...

In the years 2001/2002 nothing remarkable happened, except some optical "improvements" like red tinted tail lights, a-pillar gauge holders, white birba dashs and the sportier looking front seats from an '89 S13...
We took some first trips to S13-meets in that time too.

2003 was the year when the magic began.

Was the coupe never sold in Europe?
All I see are hatches and s14? Love the headlights, did you get a chance to find out about the pricing on the bracket?

@blackrms13:
No, all we got was the hatchback. They never sold the S13-silvia for a unknown reason. The brackets would cost aorund 180 $ incl. shipping to the U.S. If you're interested, let me know. @All: Thank you. And where did I stop? Ah, 2003. So 2004 is the year to continue. ^^ The following modifications took place in that year...

2005 startet with a big bang...when I lost control on a wet street and hit a mound at the side of the street.
But I was quite lucky under the circumstances: Nobody got hurt and my new rims and bodykit were already waiting to be fitted...

In 2007 nothing mentionable happened except for a new front bumper and a damaged rear bumper:
At the end of 2007 a rather big project started...

Here are some pics of the things that happened in 2008:
Before: After treatment with POR15: Innovate LC-1 Wideband Lambda integrated in the right air outlet: Parts: Extended air inlet for the oilcooler: Bigger throttle: Sheet metal trim for the front bumper: New rims (Rota P45R 18x9,5" with 245/35 ZR 18 allround): Shitty rattle can paint job and dilettantish executed pulled fenders because of mutually agreed near future professional paint job by a friend (which never happened because of shitty and badly brought up friend ) :

2009: More parts and still a bad paint job except for the roof. It had to be treated because of corrosion and painted new in black afterwards.
New windscreen and sealing included: Modding of the OEM lock to fit with the Kouki taillight rear garnish: New parts for the Z32-rear brakes:

In 2010 my engine began to consume little amounts of water on the dyno.
So instead of a new paint job, my engine had to be rebuilt. But this time, I wanted to make as few compromise in the parts list as possible. A low mileage block, bored to 84mm and my revised head with Tomei valve springs. Crower rods, ACL Race bearings (and Tomei pistons). ARP studs and HKS cams/head gasket, brand new OEM pumps (water/oil) and Nismo engine mounts & radiator/oil cap. APEXI air filter and Circuit Sports coolant reservoir. Bigger brake booster and engine parts painted. And many many more.... The final result:
