New Product! Mazworx mechanical timing chain tensioner

Our new SR timing chain tensioner. This new developed unit aides from factory timing chain tensioners from breaking due to stiffer valve springs and does not need oil pressure to activate it. This unit functions just like an OEM tensioner but it is much stronger and reliable than the factory OEM unit.

When installing bigger cams and stiffer valve springs, it causes excessive wear and sometimes causes the chain to stretch much more prematurely.

Cool! How does it work? I am familiar with the stock but how does this measure the tension needed? I would be in the market for one soon.

Looks to be manual. I'm willing to bet it's just like a good ole dirt bike chain. You adjust it to preferred slack. With the valve cover off you would measure tension. I would think 1/8" is about all you would want.

Let us know Mazworx. Great new product! I will purchase one soon enough.

Yea same as a motorcycle manual adjustment. And knowing mazworx they'll include instructions without how much adjustments should be made and how often it should be checked. I'll be getting my order in

Yup looks like a manually controlled piece. We use them on 2j setups especially on setups like mine which are interference...we also have belts instead of timing chains.

These things are so helpful and provide a great piece of mind. Nice product Maz

Its pretty simple. You loosen the jam nut, tighten the adjustment bolt once you get the slack you need on the timing chain then tighten the jam nut.

Instructions will be provided.

Thanks

Damnit. I JUST had my engine rebuilt a few months ago. Would of LOVED this part since I have dual valve springs.

How? You pop 2 nuts off, pull the tensioner out, pop this in, tighten nut back on, adjust the tension. I dont see this taking more than 30 mins even after taking off the valvecover to check the chain tension.
