A few questions about pulling an SR.

A friend and I are pulling his SR out of his S13 to have Touge Factory rebuild it. We'er leaving the tranny on to pull it. Neither of us have done this before, so naturally, we've hit some snags.

-When pulling off the clutch slave cylinder, what will we have to do to put it back on? It seems like it'll be under pressure, will we have to bleed the line to get it back on?

-I'm assuming we'll have to take off the driveshaft to pull the motor, what's the best way to do this?

-What's the best way to get the wires off of the back of the starter? I tried, but I can't see them very well and they're a pain in the ass to pull off.

-How do we go about taking off the motor mounts? There's no obvious way to take them off of the block, aside from the bolts on the side, and I can't imagine that it will come out after those are taken off, given the orientation of the mounts.

-There's a small sensor in the back of the trans, towards the end that's a cylinder with a wire going to it, and it looks like it's held on by a phillips screw. This is the last wire to be taken off and we can't figure out how to do it.

I think that's all of our problems. If anyone can chime in, that'd be awesome, and if there's a good step-by-step somewhere, that'd be just as good.

Thanks for all the help.

Okay then. Your post kinda confused me but Ill try to help you the best I can from what I understood.

The slave cyl...Just unbolt it from the tranny. Its like two 12mm bolts or something. It will just come off and then you can ziptie it to something so its not just hanging.

For the driveline, just unbolt all the bolts holding the driveshaft to the rear of the trans and then unbolt the support for the carrier bearing (think thats what they call it).

For the part of the harness that connects to the starter, you just gotta tough it out. Go at it from underneath the car if you need to. I dont know, I dont remember that being hard. At all.

For the motor mounts just take off the single nut thats like a 17mm holding the bracket to the rubber. When you lift the motor it will come off the stud.

I dont know what cylinder wire thing your talking about on the rear of the trans. But whatever way it comes off, it cant be that hard cause it didnt stick in my memory.

Thats what I got to say...Im sure someone else would be able to help you alot better but Im just going off memory...

Good luck!

as long as you dont disconnect the line from the slave you dont have to do anything..you can bolt it right back up again and be good

unbolt it from the diff than pull it outta the trans

im pretty sure the wires are on the front (or atleast the connect) but if they are on the back go underneath the car and look for it it should either be a 10, 12, or 14 bolts

take them out from where they mount to the car should be one bolt iirc

well if it looks to be held in by a phillips screw, common sense would be to take out the screw right?
