SR Sr20det cranks no starts but backfires

Sr20det crank no start backfires
-has fuel
-has spark
My sr20det cranks and cranks sometimes backfires but refuses to start I have a orange spark coming from the plugs I know that won't allow it to start but I'm sure there's more to it. My ignitor chip is just connected to the connectors but not grounded. Could that be a issue? Thanks

Ground everything. Check timing. Check compression. Shit is basic.

I'm going to check all the grounds and reset the timing I know it's basic but I bought the car like this so I I don't know how it was before. I'm gonna start from there I guess. Thanks

the compression is fine one cylinder is slightly below spec but there all pretty much fine. I have a feeling it's either the grounds or the timing of that doesn't work il be back on here. Thanks

Re-stab your CAS. Sounds like it's 180 off

Yes I know it sounded stupid. I'm gonna test the compression when I get home if it isn't raining then remove the CAS and line up the timing. I'll see how that goes.
