Alright, so I installed a new water pump and before I put the new timing belt on is there anything I NEED to do?.. I know number 1 cyl. needs to be at top dead and all three gears need to be lined up at their marks. I'm kind of puzzled on what to do exactly, I've looked at a bunch of vids but they leave me a little skeptical on when it's appropriate to start my motor. It's just a stock rb25det series 2.

Sorry misread the question.
The water pump is not usually run off the timing belt...

Ok haha, what is the procedure when putting back the timing belt?
What do you have to do to make sure you (I) wouldnt bend a valve or of that nature lol.

Is it just make sure the gears are lined with their marks while the number one piston is at top dead and install timing belt and im good? If so than i would just need to line the CAS back up with the marks i made and start her up?
Sorry if this is confusing.

Did you try looking for the factory service manual online?

Yea,i did and it was informational but not exactly helpful. I ended up putting everything back together as I was pretty sure I did things right. Motor is mechanically sound and idles fine.
