Hello everybody, I'm currently stuck on my rebuild because I can't figure this thing out.

the following oil pump assembly is from a 1997 rps13 blacktop type X SR20DET

this is how i disassembled it for cleaning.

1x plunger
2x springs
1x screw

there is no oil seal washer (which would lower the oil pressure)and the plunger looks different from the ones that I see on the net.
I double checked with motoiq's oil pump rebuild and frsport's assembly "set" and they all look different to mine.
Those also have a small relief hole in the middle of the plunger. Mine doesn't have one:ugh::confused:

I'm pretty sure no one has played with this one before because there were no marks on the screws whatsoever.

Can anyone please help me out with his. I dunno if I should just get a new set or put it back together.
Also I'm thinking maybe this has been revised with the later models just like the strainers have been for instance. :-/ This is driving me crazy :)

I hate to bring up an old thread but did you ever figure this out? I got a brand new pump and sent it to Mazworx to machine with my block and got it back in pieces. It was missing the washer/seal and I’m wondering if this style just doesn’t have one? I have the same plunger and dual springs as you.
