I just came up with this crazy idea..... my car keeps failing NOx which is caused by running to lean. (too much air, too little fuel). If i cover the airfilter slightly with a plastic bag, restricting the amount of air going into the engine. thus making the car run richer. and hopefully reduce the NOx reading. What do u guys think? will it work? what are the dangers?

because your ECU measures air that enters and computes how much fuel it needs to send based on its mapping ... you are not running an alpha-N management system that computes how much fuel it has to send depending on the throttle position.
You are failing emissions because your car has a problem, most common MAF system related problem is boost leak, coated MAF, dead lambda sensor, dead temp sensor, worn engine ... or just dead cat.

Fuel pressure regulator.
I dont think mine is adjustable... but I passed the test today after running seafoam thru brake vacuum and intake. reduced nox by about 15%. I also changed the fuel filter too. and no i did not use a plastic bag to cover the filter lol
