Theres nothing wrong with a 2jz at all! But most ppl go SR or Rb before 2jz not trying to be funny

Its alot easier to find parts for a 2JZ in the states rather then the rb

have you considered the vq35? it`s a lot lighter which means you keep the good handling characteristic of the s14 chassis, can make as much power as a 2jz, motor swap kits are readily available, 6 speed transmission, and also very cheap compared to a 2jz with a 6 speed trans. just my .02 cents. good luck with your build, what ever engine you decide on.

Why not 2jz?

because long, heavy as hell and quite pricey on oem and upgraded parts.

Unless you cut the firewall to mount it a couple of feet inside, it will completely mess weight distribution, and driving a nose heavy S13/S14 is not always fun.

op> Try one before doing the swap, if the new weight distribution does not bother you then do it. I think it kind of ruins the fun but that is personal taste.

Whats it normally run for everything to do a vq swap?
