3 piece wheel question

I have a pair of 18 inch 3 piece wheels. Is it possible to remove the face and put it into a 17 inch lip and barrel hence making a pair of 17 inch 3piece wheels?

The face is 41cm and 36 holes

Ive seen people use bigger lips on bbs rs n stuff, I think it depends on how big the face is

pretty sure you can only barrel up. like from 17-18

Yea, Nismo never made 17" LM-GT1s and I'm all about the 17/18 stagger. I just figured I'd see if anyone knew.

The face is less than 17" so there might be hope. I just emailed a few companies that make custom lips and barrels about it too.

What wheels are they?

You can only upsize. I've never heard of downsizing a face. You'd have to shave and re-drill mounting holes. It doesn't work that way.

They are Nismo LMGT1 wheels. The wheels have a stepped lip. Also the face sits on top of the outer lip and barrel (not sandwich mounted like BBS RS)

This leads me to believe that the faces can fit in 17 inch barrel/lip as long as its not stepped.

So where can I order custom 17" 36 hole reverse lips/barrels?

May want to measure before you order unncessary parts. Just a friendly tip.

If you went to a reverse lip you might be able to go down in size. But only if the face is small enough.

the face is 41 cm(total diam.) and 17 inches=43.18 cm it should be possible. the center of the bolt holes are 1cm away from the edge of the face so it could work if i found someone to sell reverse lips with an air valve in the appropriate place.

Hit up VRwheels. I know they do a lot of custom stuff. They're your best bet.

17x9 FYI. Only 2 piece though. Never mind, I guess these are LMGT2?
