I have more than 3000 dollars, and I dont know what to do with it. Should I go for a rebuild? Or modifications from radiator all the way to the exhaust tip?
Help Me!!!!
A list of everything would be cool

I have a 1995 Nissan 240SX SE in WA where gas is 92 Octane and going for non-turbo all the way

how is the rest of the car?
how is the suspension, the brakes, the power steering system ?
how is the diff and axles?
how is the paint body and glass?

we are not going to budget your 'build' for you but most of us will put you in the right direction. What is your HP goals? Is there anything in particular that you desire out of it?

3k budget non turbo could be enough to go High-comp with ITB's, and updraft headers... not enough for drysump, cams, tuning

im all for a ka build, but 3k is a little light for a ka-t build. Run n/a and dump it all in a suspension. OR you can always donate the $3k to me and ill spend it wisely after sending you a thank you card

Well the suspension is good and the body is good.
Im going more for performance because i already have a new clutch, flywheel, driveshaft, short shifter, and etc.

Like anyones goal...hopefully anything above 200HP. 250HP?

I have been reading, and there are many directions I can go through with, but I want more variety of everything, not just a whole stroker kit per say.

if your goal is anywhere close to 250hp throw on a turbo kit and get a good tune. dont waste your time and money with NA.

he can do 250 NA but he is massively underbudget
200 is pretty "simple" to do NA

3k will buy u a lot of bolt ons for a na ka, but its not enought for a full build here are some web sites that have good info for n/a, they have dyno charts to let u see just how much power your really going to make. none of that what people think it will make. im building one my self and its a fun car just not very fast at all. i get raped by hondas :(

Please tell me your kidding...you think those few parts will get him 200hp..Do you even know what a stock KA24DE motor puts down!?
OP, if you want power but without going turbo, have you ever thought of supercharging. Do a search and you'll see there's a few people pulling the #'s you're looking for and they did it in on a pretty good budget (junkyard time).

Myself and My buddy had this set up with his tune for s13.
I will say he did about 20 hours of tuning to get it super awesome
we had ka's that BEAT sr's drag racing. jus sayn.

but you can force him into turbo sure... Id force him into v8 and skip the headache

dont forget... 3k will buy you a sr swap and after selling your ka you will have enough for a few goodies, easy 250hp.. easy..
or a ls1

na ka sucks if your going for a specific hp number.. getting over 200hp is pretty difficult.. and way expensive

....why are you against turbo?

:bs:not trying to sound like an ass but I highly doubt it. Not with just those parts. MAYBE with some high-comp pistons, cams, ITB's.

this never ends with out a fight and people trying to tell some na guy just to go turbo lol :bowrofl:
heres a dyno chart of a ka with intake, pulley, header, cams and tuning on a dynojet, these dynos read the highest

ls1 swap for 3k.... pfffft that will be the day, even if he gets 800 for his KA and trans he's still 1500 short of a finished and running car

Well guys thanks for the suggestions but I think ill just stick to a rebuild with stock internals. I'll do some things here and there and probably put some Work Meisters!

P.S. LS1 is an alright engine, but I'd rather stick to Japan.

i like the route you choose.. good rebuild and leave it mostly alone and take good care of it.. good plugs good wires good oil and i/h/e it will be pretty quick compared to stock.. i had lots of fun in mine when it was like that just dont skimp on quality engine parts and you wont be let down :D best of luck!

So it wouldn't be a good idea to go all Brian Crower?

nah.. you only need valves/springs/retainers for stage 3 cams.

and stage 3 cams suck ass to daily.. its too loby in the ka

i would get the stage 1 or maybe 2 cams and leave it at that.. just slap them right in.. should gain like 18hp or something and it makes a better powerband and the valve train will be fine forever0

I wouldn't waste my time or money on an N/A KA, Just put the money into some nice coilovers, nice wheels, polyurathane bushing kit, exhaust, and have a clean 240 :)

What do you mean by "High-comp"?
