my tie rod end is giving me issues..
the bolt that you put the nut/pin on is pratically spinning freely.
this is making it rather difficult to tighten.
is there something im doing wrong or do i just need a new tie rod end....
helap!!!!

are these used or brand new? usually brand new ones wont spin. Id suggest for you to make some phone calls and see i any of your friends have lifetime warranty @ autozone.
I just changed mine 1 week ago and no problem.
but when i did, and i didnt have an impact gun. i had to hold the stud with a vice grip and tighten the bolt, but that causes you to ruin and spill some grease that are inside the tie rod end joints.
if you were working with OEM replacement that is.
put pressure on the underside of it. i.e. put a jack under it, jack it up some, and tighten it.
if you don't have a jack, tap the underside with a hammer while you tighten it.
if all else fails, buy a new one.

If you use a wrench sometimes they will spin new. shit just happens. You have a few options. Either put pressure on it with a jack. Or clamp it with a vice grip, or run the impact on it till it grabs.
