i was recently at a local meet and another 240 guy told me about a cheap mod which is taking another KADe exhaust cam and switching it for the intake cam...Is this possible? If so are there any gains? Porblems? LMK it sounds very different yet kinda interesting?

basically you use the s13 de exhaust cam on your intake side and move 4 teeth left on the gear/chain
search 248 cam

set your valve lash tighter 8-10 intake or both sides/9-11 exhaust so u can get the full effect of those cams, even with the stock cam set up it will wake them up alot

Ok I've looked into it more and I have a chance to get a 91 exhaust cam and my KADE is a 92, are they the same duration or would I have to get a 92??

I heard they are different but it could be just 240 folklore..... I never really looked into it.

yea cuz i heard that too but i have been looking into it and i get it from both sides saying it different and the same. most of it was just the difference in the 94 s13 cams and the 91-93 cams but idk its not much work if it works that would be sick if not... well that would just suck..

We've discussed this since 1991. There is no reason you can't find the information if you bother looking for it.
The 1991-mid 1993 cams are all the same, 240/248. Later '93s without the SCVs and all 1994 models use the S14 cams, 232/232.

To the OP. It's the S13 Exhaust Cam can be used as an Intake Cam. The Main thing is you need to do a mod on the cam gear for it to be properly timed. FYI Don't mind him He get's satisfaction when does that. Check his posts.. Let the guy have his fun. LOL!

Lol I no people do that just for fun, but it's irritating I'm just trying to find out more about it... But back to the subject, I've hear of people either moving the gear 4 teeth and others drilling out other holes in the gear itself, which is better? And are there any problems with this upgrade? The only problems I found were just mistakes from the people not timing them right, and just the simple fact of losing the low end tq

Drilling to the gear is the best way. Check JWT site there should be template you can copy to do the mod.

I checked out Jim wolf and couldn't find anything but the newer stuff, yet I was doing it on my phone, so that could be y. Which "stock" cam upgrade do u prefer? I've been looking into the 248/232 and heard it's good for the mid and high, but what is the exhaust cam used for the 248/240 upgrade? I read somewhere it is an exhaust cam not just taking them and switching them lol

I did help, asshole, and was very positive about it too. Can you not read my post? I told you exactly what you needed to know. Sorry if I didn't hold your hand and coddle your balls while answering it, that's not how we do things here. Ask a question, get an answer. Done.
So in the future, don't ask questions if you don't want answers.

I have a lovely girlfriend, thanks.
But you're right, I don't give respect to anyone who doesn't earn it. Being lazy, not researching an obviously two decade old subject, then crying about it when you get the answer isn't the way to earn respect on here.

I did research but it just kept going mostly on opinion, and never found any problems it could have except for amatuers not knowing how to follow simple directions lol, if someone has already done it over n over and has told u specifically what to do, how hard is it to fuck up the upgrade?!! I pretty much got what I need to know, just wanna know bout the other cam swaps as far as powerband wise. I know the specs on them just wanna know actual experience with the swap
