Alright, I have a 1990 240SX and when I'm stationairy and have to turn the wheel there's something that pops. It drives me insane and I can't seem to figure out the problem.

If I could just get some input from you guys that would be great.

I've been under the car quite a few times working on the suspension and installing polyurethane bushings but I still haven't pin pointed the problem yet.

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to take a stab at it and say it's the sway bar endlinks binding.

That's a good place to start. I'll check them out and see.

Are sway bars one of those components that if they aren't really wrenched down then they make all sorts of noises?

Maybe your spring/coil???
If you turn your steering faster, does it sound louder?

I'm not too sure if it sounds louder. I'll have to check it. I have an eibach pro kit on the car, but anyways, if it ended up being the coils what would I need to do to fix it?

when you install springs on a shock there is usually a little bump stop, kind of a notch in the bottom where the end of the spring would rest against.

if the gap itll make a popping nose when turning the wheel. had that on my sentra after i installed HR springs.

Did you recently take the strut/coil apart?
It may not be assembled properly.
The "spring seat" (top plate/hat) is allowing the coil to move around.
I would take it apart and reassemble and/or check if its loose.

I weill definitely check the strut/coil now. I haven't taken them apart but they are aftermarket so it could possibly be that the guy before me just didn't put them in apart.

Thanks a lot guys, I was thinking it could be the steering rack or pinion maybe.
