That's a tough one....the only FSM that I know of or have seen (in English) is for an S14SR....

I'm sure one of the experts on here knows that....which clearance are you referring to though?

Clearance between cam and rocker arm?

^^^ yea im not sure if its 100% the same specs you know so im kinda ify but i a, refering to the clearance between the cam and the rocker and the rocker to the valve if their is a measurment for that one.. basically im trying to find the root of my tick tick noise.. which i think is the the lifters not being bleed properly or the valve adjustment is out of spec..

I am not sure about the Rocker to Lobe clearance, but for Valve to Rocker (Shim) you need a shim height tool.

Only place I know is RPSport (http://www.rpsport.net/vsht/)

Oh.. did you bleed your Hydraulic Lash Adjusters?

i have not bleed the lifters if that is what ur refering to but would that make the valve chatter noise.. ?

It would make ticking noises...try bleeding all of them first. Take each lifters off, submerge it in oil and stick something in the hole to force the bubbles out.

Yeah like everyone said it sounds like a ticking coming from the head....

You need to pull the HLAs and stick something thin in the top and push it up and down quickly to get the air bubbles out.

..oh yeah and this should be done while the HLA is submerged in oil....once you finish, keep it upright.

DIY for what? Bleeding the lifters? If you aren't experienced, I wouldn't mess with this.

It involves pulling the valve cover, cams, etc

Then there is the possibility you tq something the wrong way, mess up your time, lose a shim, etc.

Are you sure you wanna do it yourself? If you can do it, go for it, but stuff CAN get messed up in there if you don't really know what you are doing.

Funny story, i just made a write up for the reshimming the valves and stuff.

Another thing you might want to check for is your HLA's.

Take them out and re-bleed them, these type of HLA's cannot be bled by running the motor.

What you do is take them out submerge them in oil take a little metal rod and put it inside and find the little relief ball thing, keep pushing it down until all the air is out.

Have fun with your new quiet SR.

Hope this helped.

Oh, and here is that write-up/

I think he wants pictures because he doesn't know what he's doing. You've been here almost two years and don't know how to search? The guy gave you information steps how to do it. We can't spoonfeed you all the time.

You have not searched because "bleed lifters sr20det" comes up with a step by step article with pictures (http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=238409) on the first hit on google
