View Full Version : S14 keeps dying out(electrical)

wsup guys i just recently replaced my fusebox harness after i was done i check to see if everything was connect. so i started it up ran fine fo about 2-4 mins then i noticed the car starting to bog and my lights started dimming down. any one know what can cause this? what im guessing is that my battery is completely dead i jump started the car about twice. need help thanks.

so every time you jump start the car the motor dies in 2-4 minutes?..

Check to see if your alternator is putting out the proper voltage.

well the first time i didnt everything was perfectly fine after couple mins the car started slowly dying out. then i had to jump it after that same thing happend.

your alternator is prolly going out check voltages

p.s my battery has a s*&^ load of corrsion haha however u spell that

Yup, you're not getting charge to the battery, and your battery's dead.
Make sure your 7.5a "charge" fuse is good. Also make sure the alternator's hooked up to the fuse box (there's two connections, one has two huge wires, one has 3 small wires).

Yup, you're not getting charge to the battery, and your battery's dead.
Make sure your 7.5a "charge" fuse is good. Also make sure the alternator's hooked up to the fuse box (there's two connections, one has two huge wires, one has 3 small wires).
i think i know what your talking bout the 2 connectors that hook up straight to the + terminal and one to the fusebox right? the one that hooks up to the fusebox is held down by that golden nut correct? cause if so i think thats what im missing.

problem solved haha there was one thing i didnt check it was the alternator connection to the fuse box haha. Ownd =\ thansk for the help guys.
