so last night it was raining so i took my subwoofer out of my hatch, put in a towel cause it was damn, and this morning the towel was soaked. my amp looked like there was dew on it, the whole back was wet, behind the tail lights there was dew, and on the right coilover tower it was wet.

what i need to know is is there a hole or some thing, the seals seem to be good. but where is the water coming from?

we you pull your trunk leaver does it pop open?
if no then the latch is too high and yyou need to lower it
a few MM so it can seal it self tightly
also check the weather sealant around the rear hatch lights
it might need replacement due to age
it's called butyl they sell it at auto parts stores

Taillights, antenna, wire harness grommets for the defroster, brake lights, and wiper, hatch moulding.

Good luck.

Almost certainly the hatch seal. That is the most common shit ever on fastbacks. Occasionally the tail lights will leak too, but not as common. I have not heard of the antenna hole leaking before.

I have not heard of the antenna hole leaking before.

The antenna is designed to leak. There is a drain hose from where the antenna mounts to the fender to the inside of fender and onto the ground.

If the drain hose is clogged or becomes damaged otherwise, the antenna rod will drip into the interior.

99% of trunk leakage is from the tailights, the butyl rubber sealant dries out and becomes brittle, allowing for water to leak through, especially if the tails have ever been removed.

You guys work it out.

Same with me. I had to dig all the water out of my trunk with a bucket because the spare tire area was half filled with water. I looked at the weather stripping on the hatch and it was torn about 3" on the passenger side and saw some rust leaks from the taillight. Sucks.

Go to sears or something and get boat sealant. Its a toothpase like thing of black goo you can use to seal stuff. If its the tailights, antenna, etc stuff like that you can goo the edges and re-seal it. I had to re-seat my tailights on my old subaru after I was rear-ended and it took all of like 45 minutes and it stopped the water.

Same problem here. Mine's the tail lights. Also, I've only ever owned a S14 and S13 coupe, so I don't know about the S13 fastback, but my buddy's Z31 had some drainage holes between the rear quarter panel and the hatch seal that were clogged and it caused the water to back up and drain into the hatch anyway. If S13s have the same type of holes, maybe that's a possible cause.

You guys know that there are plugs at the bottom of the spare tire well that you CAN remove to drain the water right? Hell when it rains I just take them out automatically.

The antenna is designed to leak. There is a drain hose from where the antenna mounts to the fender to the inside of fender and onto the ground.

If the drain hose is clogged or becomes damaged otherwise, the antenna rod will drip into the interior.

The water runs through the threaded nut portion of the antenna base, down the drain tube, and out of the car via a little drain hole in the inner fender.

If the the tube is broken or clogged, water will drip into the interior and possibly run along the interior panels onto the spare tyre area depending on where the breakage is.
