some people actually say chains are life time
some people say that shit snaps after a while
but hey, new parts are always a good thing.

as a rule of thumb change your chain every 80,000 miles. slop in your chain will change your timing and affect your performance. i'm not sure if the KADE is an interference engine or not but if that chain goes so does your entire head assembly.

Make sure the chain tensioner is doing its job properly. I really doubt the chain is stretched that badly... Its most likely just the tensioner.

My chain looked like that. Your tensioners are most likely just gunked up with old oil deposits. I just sprayed some WD40 on mine, and pushed them in by hand until they moved freely.

^Yes. Pull the upper front cover to pull the other guide out and make sure the upper tensioner isn't stuck.
Theres a lower tensioner as well, but its alot more work to get to that one, so try your luck with the upper ones first. lol
chain should last the life of the engine

i used to build racing fourwheelers and i would seem to go through atleast one chain with every bike. they were prone to stretching out over time , jumping timing and putting valves into the the piston.
if you really want to have peace of mind i would just change it.
then again these arent race bikes and sr timing chains are bulkier so i doubt theres any problems...
