check engine light after replacement intake manifold
Hey guys. Been looking alllll overrr every where for this answer.
I have a 94 s13 convertible My check engine light is throwing code 32, for the EGR malfunction... I checked vacuum hoses, everything appears to be hooked up correctly. When I push up on the EGR diaphragm, the car idles roughly, and if I push it up hard enough, the car stalls. From what I read this is normal..? I have no idea why it's throwing code 32. Also I only changed the upper manifold , the lower manifold I didn't change. The replacement manifold was off a 92 or 93 I believe. Yes I used all new gaskets Anyone have any ideas? Not sure if this is related or not, but my fuel economy is AWFUL. 200 - 250 miles out of the tank. Stock KA24 with auto trans (swapping manual next week), 65% - 75% highway driving too... |

disconnect the EGR temp sensor and place a resistor on the ECU side of it. If the check engine light goes away, then the sensor is your problem.
PS. EGR is lame, get rid of it. |

Also, what do you mean by the ECU side? |

When the EGR fails, it will cause the valve to stay in the open position.
Thats why your car idles rough. In some cases, simply removing the intake manifold and replacing it with an aftermarket one will throw an error code and your check engine light will go on. I've had this happen to me :/ i just dealt with it. PS. I got crappier gas mileage afterwords too, kade auto.

Now it's throwing code 32 and code 34. 34 is knock sensor. Occasionally it also throws code 55... I looked up 55 and it means there is no error.
is my computer fucked up??? About a month ago I lowered my car and didnt realize the front left fender harness.A lot of wires rubbed and shorted out a bunch of shit. I replaced the fuses after fixing the harness but the check engine light was on before this... Does removing the EGR system ALWAYS 100% of the time remove code 32? |
