I'm not sure why the first image is a link in my view. Let me know if any of you viewing this post see the same, and I'll try to figure out whats up.

In keeping with the holliday.
The rest of the car is still stock red...( I hate red!) The entire rear suspension sub assy is out of a 92 R32 GTST. Thats how I got the rear five lug and big brake swap done all in one shot. |

Heres a couple of shots of the car when first started.
Not much progress tonight. A lot of cleaning. Put the crossmember and front suspension back on. Sanded and buffed out some runs in the clear. The lackeys helping me clean parts MMM wire wheel + nuts and bolts = Shiney Putting the steering rack back in with the new hard bushings Me holding my end up Nice and clean Ready for new struts to show up, and the spindle to be put back on. Tomorrow I will post the pics of the turbo install Last edited by RPS1392; 03-18-2008 at 06:59 AM.. |

i just bought a rebuild kit today and seeing you said the rebuild kit or rebuilding in general was misleading, i was just a little curious. how so? and how much for the kit?

Yes, it is. I'm not crazy about the whole rear tie rod setup. Ive been thinking on fabricating up a set of links.
I looked at the spindle, and it seems I can just press out the tie rod end, and replace it with a bushing. |

Ok, some more pics on the turbo install. I'm going to test a couple of links to photobucket to see if I can get them to function.
A little of this goes a long way to keep parts from becomming unattached. Installing the S13 adapters. Installing the CS lines Had to adjust the actuator rod so it wouldnt come in contact with the line. Before: After: Turbo is mounted. Glad I didnt do this after the engine was installed. |

EDIT: I have confirmed that each 1st pic conforms to the proper format. Not sure why each pic after the first works. Maybe one of the moderators could help. Last edited by RPS1392; 03-18-2008 at 08:12 AM.. |

Nice build thus far. You installed this line incorrectly though. You could have left the wastegate bar as-is, used the straight end on the turbo, and used the 90 at the block. It looks like you will be stretching the hose, the way it shouldn't in order to fit the hotpipe outlet. Won't fit either way... Fits Carlos |
