ASD Motorsports - bad review
So I ordered my 16" pull back hydro with fittings on march 26th. It says when you order they will email you a tracking number. Week and a half later and I did not get it. So I logged back in on their website and it says "in process" I emailed them for the tracking number and got no response. I called twice in the past two days and just got voicemail. I left all my information and still no call back. Ideas on what to do? I was probably going to call my bank and see if they can get my money back

did you take into consideration the last two days were Saturday and Sunday? call them on a weekday!

Yes I called on Friday about noon their time. Sure I won't hear back until they get back from FD. In over another week. So that will be about a month it took them to ship me their product with no communication. That's terrible

This doesn't justify its own thread... its been a week, you called 2 times on a WEEKEND...
when you call 4-5 times during normal hours... and no response to multiple e-mails, Then id start getting worried. I'm using the ASD hydro in my e36 drift car... it kicks ass...

No it's been two weeks. I never called on a weekend. Every call was during their buisness hours. This does justify bad customer service. Their product is awesome. That's why I bought it full retail which I never pay usually. I'm just upset and want my hydro so I can make the drift even with it.

When was the last time you emailed them? This can easily happen with any company. Unfortunate that this has happened to you but give the vendor some time to make the situation right.

I emailed them Wednesday. Called Friday and called today. I mean don't get me wrong maybe it's all just bad timing. But I really just need my hydro or my money back so I can buy it elsewhere

Damn that is shitty customer service.
Just because you have FD is no excuse, because everyone deserves a response at the very least... They may make good products but if you cant keep communication thats a fail.

Just keep emailing them and sending them messages on facebook. FD is actually a pretty big deal for them and they may have overlooked your email (I'm sure they receive multiple important emails daily) and if they're not in the shop, how are they going to get your call? They have to drive across the country. Just hang tight, or order from another company and cancel your ASD order if time is an issue.
Also, they have this posted: Due to unusually high order volume, orders are taking approx 5 days to ship. |

I ordered it march 26th. BEFORE they left or had any messages posted on their website. That's why I'm upset. It's been over 3 weeks. I just called today and it goes right to voicemail...

There is no doubt it's poor business ethics on their end. There are a number of things they could have done to inform customers of their absence, but who knows why they haven't returned your email (at least). And I would be upset if I were in your situation (and I have been with another shop - similar reasoning for the delay). Hopefully they'll compensate for the delay to keep your business. So without calling me of emailing me directly I received an email from ups that they shipped it next day air and ill have it tomorrow. So I'm happy!

There you go! Crisis averted. Obviously your business is important to them otherwise they would have done regular shipping instead of next day. Happy this problem was resolved.

Next day or not, That was Poor business!! ASD e-brake perform nice but if it were to have to be sent back, sounds like itd be a big headache. CNC it is

Not to bump an old thread, but I didn’t feel a new thread was justified.
These guys have kept me in limbo for a few weeks. At first, sema was going on so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it’s been over a week since any contact with them. No shipping info, status update, nothing. The don’t answer their phones and will not respond to even one of their distributors. It would have been nice to be at least notified the product was not in stock, and just any communication at all. |

I'd like to update this as a distributor has relayed that there has been a serious family issue with one of the employees.
I'm going to see if Wilwood will sell me the pedal mount that both ASD and Nameless use. It's just their generic clutch/brake mount. When you buy from either company, the only thing you're really getting is their handle, which is why ASD refuses to sell you a handle without you returning one. The only reason to buy from either is that you won't really save much putting in together yourself, $20-$30 at most. |
