Pic Request/opinions: Enkei RPF1 17x9 45mm offset on S14
I'm looking to get Rpf1s in 17x9 45mm in SBC. I can only find 17x9 SBC RPf1 in 45mm offset.
I'm trying to have the wheels as close to flush if not a tiny bit out than the fenders. I currently have 17x9 22mm Fn01rc which look great. I don't have much experience in offset or anything, I understand how it works but it's hard to visualize it on the wheel on the car. Anyone have photos 17x9 45mm rpf1s on the car or have any opinions on it? |

17x9 +45 is 23mm less aggressive (further in) than 17x9+22,
An inch is 25.4 mm, so essentially the wheels would be 1" further in. You'd need biggish spacers. Don't waste your time with them. After five years on here you should know basic stuff like how offset works. Come on man. |

My standards aren't super crazy like everyone elses. My primary reason for RPF1s are the weight, so I'll sacrifice a some style for a light weight although by how much remains to be seen, this is why I asked for a pic request or opinions. I was hoping someone who's had Rpf1s with this kind of offset would weigh in since the look of the wheel is something that's not concrete for every wheel. 45mm offset doesn't visually look the same on every wheel option (rpf1, rp03, gram lights etc.)

I moved out after high school, I pay my rent, all my bills, and school. This is my hobby which means I put money into the car after all this. In 4 years of owning my 240, I've only had this set of wheels, done, springs and coilovers. Thats it and I havent needed anything more, I daily drive it so it's an awesome stock daily. I've only been on zilvia like less than 10 times much less shop for wheels. So don't go judging me based off how many years I've been on Zilvia. Anyway, thanks for the input. |

That's great and all....but 83 posts indicate you've been here more than 10x unless you go on 8 post benders every 7 months or so.
And your personal story doesn't change how easy all of this stuff. I paid for college, bought a house, am roughly the same age as you........yet I know how wheel offset works. Also, you should learn how to google: http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=389381 Pretty sad when a dude who doesn't own an S-chassis knows what fits your car better than you do. |

You still don't understand it's a visual thing which is why I put pic request first. I cant imagine what a 45 offset Rpf1 looks like on an s14. I didn't ask, HOW DOES OFFSET WORK? You could've just said, it doesn't look great, or trust me lower offset looks better, but you wanted to explain offset to me which I can understand, but visually speaking, doesn't give me much to go off of since i'm open to looks. You still helped me by putting it into that perspective which I appreciate. I just don't get why people have to bash others even when trying to help. Is it an ego thing? If you're annoyed by me asking a question, dont respond, damn. BUUUTTT THANKSSSSS FOR THE LINK! |
