KA24E Lower Rad Hose COLD
Hey guys,
Did a search and didn't come up with an answer other then "bleed the system" which I think I did and I don't have any overheating problems. Did the water pump on the KA24E today. After done and filling it up with coolant I noticed the lower rad hose would NOT get even the slightest bit warm.. Idled it for about an hour and drove it and still wouldn't warm up. Filled the system, drove the car up on ramps, pulled the bleeder screw, cranked the heater, EVERYTHING and still won't heat up. Temp gauge doesn't go above normal operating temp. stays right where it should. Rad is about 2 years old, heat inside works great. Just wondering if I should be concerned or thats the way it is this time of year here.. May change the T-Stat just to see if it makes a difference.. Thanks |

It will get less MPG with it not warming up. The factory gauge leaves some thing to be desired. It tells you that you are cold, operating temp or when you are over heating. That is about it. the fact that you are getting heat inside is a good sign. I would guess the Thermostat as well.

What's the reason you decided to change the water pump? It sounds like the thermostat like everyone mentioned, any time I change things with the cooling system I change the thermostat, it's only like $12 anyways, just get one and replace the old one
