Tomei's are hardly as notorious for cracking as these cheap manifolds are. Do they crack? Absolutely. However, they are far superior in quality than the knock off shit. Not to mention they have a no hassle warranty.
Most of the cracking occurs from lack of running a support brace, which a lot of these manifolds come with. Ultimately, any thin walled manifold not supported correctly and exposed to high heat and long periods of it, will crack. There really is no way around it, unless you pony up and purchase an HD manifold, such as one made with Sch40 pipe and purged correctly, for 3-4x the price.
When it comes down to brass tacks, I'd buy a Tomei manifold over junk any day of the week, knowing I could send it back and get a replacement free of charge.
