5 lug Options for Daily/NonTrack

As the title says it looking for 5 lugs. I only know of 3 different setups/companys. Not looking to do anything crazy with my car till I invest in safety like proper seats, harness, and rollcage but for now im taking it easy as daily and restoration project. Already did my interior and now Im looking to get bigger set of wheels for the summer before I rebuild my motor.

These are the 3 lug options I know, I know what the best option is with the oem bearings and hubs but thats serious money just for lugs and still need wheels, tires, rotors, alignment with new fortune auto 500s coming in.

1) spend almost 400$ on OEM bearings from nissan, about 20$ to press them into some old rusted 300zx lugs that go on ebay or on here for 150-200, spend 20 on paint and sanding them down, then get new arp studs for another 100$. Thats almost around 800

2) Get Ichiba lugs for $420, have herd mixed reviews on them but seems like a higher qaulity than ebay hubs.

3) spend 200-370 for ebay special/ISIS(ISR) lugs. You get what you pay for lmao, they will do the job but will probably need new bearing in a years time.

Here are some pictures for attention, trying to get rid of the steelies and get some wheels off yaj or all else fails get some varrstoen es2s

If it were me, I'd get Ichiba front hubs and OEM rear (S14, 300ZX etc.)

The Contano hubs also seem to have good reviews and are affordable.

Dont you need lower control arms and ball joint for the s14 ones? If I want s14 or 300zx oem i'd want the whole thing. I dont think nissan sells hubs with pressed bearing together.

You need to use the S14 spindle and ball joint in order to use the S14 hub (You would also have to drill out the lower mounting holes on the S13 strut and use the larger S14 bolts). I would prefer to use a conversion hub instead, as it would be the only be one part to change. Attain is known for being the best conversion hub, but is also the most expensive.

The S14 rear hub is a direct swap. I'd just be looking for a used one.

Those are way out of my range. There is a local guy selling s14 5 lugs all around and will give me clean 300zx wheels for 300 flat. Rotors are rusted to shit and assume all of them have been sitting outside for awhile. I could get just the rears for maybe a 100 and spend 200 for bearing to be pressed in and clean them up. Only the fronts need modifying to fit right? I could get some ichiban on the front for another 225

You should have more faith in those rear bearings, they're probably still good. I've had two 240SX with over 150k+ miles on them and the bearings have been fine. The OEM stuff is known for being very durable. Like you said, it's the eBay conversion hubs that wear out quickly.

I listed everything needed to use S14 front hubs in my post above. It's up to you if you want to do all that. Personally, I don't want to drill out $1500 coilovers and reduce their resale value because they're now limited to S13's with S14 spindles only.

As for the rotor situation, I'm not sure about stock S13 vs S14 brakes. I have Z32's, so 4 vs 5 lug makes no difference for me. You could have those rusty ones machined, or grab some new ones off RockAuto.

Yeah I agree on the modifying. I placed an order for Fortune Autos and the last thing I want to do is drill them. I guess i'll check out this local guys hubs and offer 100 for the rear if the bearings look good. The only thing that scares me is the guy isnt a 240 owner, drives an RSX, and they look like they have been sitting outside for awihle. Im in florida and it rains a good bit so I hope they arent seized or anything.

I'll order some ISR fronts then down the line press in new oem bearings. Rockauto ones are maybe 20 each which isnt bad, I might just drill out my old 4 lug rotors then piece together CTSV fronts and get proper ones then.

Can anyone chime in on the ISR 5 lugs, it looks like ISIS after the name change bumped up the quality on most of they're parts like coils/suspension.

Buy contano hubs (as they're the cheapest) and just expect to replace the bearings in the next year. $36 for a timken bearing last time I bought one.

For the back I'd trusted used s14 or z32 over any of the new chinese stuff in the long term.
