Sr20 engine builder expert ?????

So I purchased an SR that was in the process of being rebuilt with high performance internals. The used an Apexi Head gasket but the head was not fully torqued down. So the question is......
How can I tell if head gasket is still good or I need to replace it???

Appreciate experts chime in.
Thanks

Torque the bitch down and hope for the best..or take it apart and inspect it(see if the gasket has been crushed)
